At first I was sad to see that this was the end, but after reading through the whole thing, I understand this would have been a massive undertaking.
With the length of your chapters, and taking into account what you had left to do in this arc, then adding sinnoh, johto, and hoen the story could have been at least...2.8m words... minumum...thats on the basis of you pumping out massive chapters.
Thats easily the longest fic i've ever seen and destroys the word count of the entire Harry Potter book series by nearly 3 times.
That's insane.
Thank you for sharing the blueprint for what you had planned to do. I'm sure there are an entire list of other characters we would have seen and its shame that'll never happen.
Its also just nice knowing that its over. I don't have to wait for something that isn't coming. It sets your mind at ease in a strange way.
Its also alot nicer than what most authors do, saying the story is canceled and not sharing any of the plans, just throwing them away.
A great ending to an era.
This was probably the last good May/Ash fanfic on the site.
I'm now at peace.

It's a real shame, what I feared has happened. When you last updated the story, you gave me hope that it would continue, but deep down I knew it was only a matter of time before it would be abandoned permanently, after all, it's been 13 years since it started and it's still not finished.
I would like you to continue, even if you change your plans and end this Kanto campaign, unfortunately I don't think it will happen. Even though I'm sad, I thank you for what you created and if you feel like continuing where you left off in the future, I'll be waiting.

Just did a full reread of this great story after years! I don't remember where I left off but still love every bit of it. I'm excited to see how Ash and Mays relationship grows as we approach what I assume to be the climax of the story and how the situation with the Legendary Pokémon pans out. As painstaking and annoying it was to wait for Ash and May to finally get into a real relationship, it only made that point more satisfying, and I hope to see it as well during the league. I'd guess we're coming up on the climax of the story, and I'm excited to see what you have planned. I hope your health gets better and that you're enjoying life.
