This was a really good ww2 parallel. Thanks for the reminder to remember the people we lost.

Again, an incredible read. You have done in just a few thousand words what other authors cannot do over dozens of chapters. Your characters feel so real and the reader empathizes so well with them. The story is so well fleshed out and so much happens yet so little. You truly have a gift with words and I wish you the best and look forward to reading more from you.

This is the first jily fic I've read in years and years of being in the fandom. Most have a portrayal of Snape that I cant digest. This was beautiful.

The horrors and the descent into them were really well done. Too nazi-esque, but they're powerful in the way you want them to be. I liked Lily, and her simple explanation of why she had loved James. I loved the kids as well. I loved Severus' eternal love playing out here. In a way, his love is less about her, and more about himself, the lengths he's willing to go despite all the bs in his life, to save the one person that represents the light within him. I also loved Voldemort's scenes, especially the last. It was really sad, how Sev didn't return because he'd been captured, not because he wasn't willing to help her anymore, after she'd closed the door on any way she couldve loved him. James' statement is incredibly self aware, and shows that he grew up after facing all those adversities far more than any shallow explanation in canon did. I also loved very much Lily's selfishness after she's lost so much, and is completely unwilling to lose more. In the beginning they're so hopeful, but by the end, she tries to save whatever she can and get out

Thanks for sharing

One of the best fanfictions I've ever read. To be honest i thought it wont be a happy ending but it was. It was nice to see a story in which peter pettigrew finds the error in his ways and helps even though he was only mentioned very briefly

One of the best stories ever written on this website imo. Touched my heart. Thanks a million.

this is so much like what the movies show of a conatraton camp in ww2 is like but you put a magical twist to it i always thought Voldie was a lot like hitler and the death eaters were the nazis

This is a devastatingly well developed and well written story.

There were so many impactful moments. I think the shock of reading Hermione’s name for the first time is going to stay with my for a while. It felt like a punch to the abdomen.

Thank so much for sharing this fantastic tale.
