It about Hiei this Hiei that...i don't felt like crossover story at all. It felt like reading Hiei own pov not Sasuke.

Well it's a shame the story's halted here. It has potential. So many places for it to go. Like would Hiei ever consider retraining his body to use the jutsu Sasuke knew to make himself stronger. He could substitute chakra with youki and everything. Also the Jagan could imitate the abilities of the Mangekyou. Then there are Sasuke's snake and hawk summons which he could theoretically summon from the world in which he was Sasuke.
As powerful as Hiei is by end game Yu Yu Hakusho he pales in comparison to end game Sasuke and Hiei values strength and power. It was his in one lifetime why not in this new one? Also how does him getting closer to the mentality Sasuke had towards the end of his life and the memories of the bonds Sasuke had effect the bonds Hiei eventually forms with Team Urameshi and friends.
No offense intended, but you abandoned the story exactly when it was about to get good. I was reading this hoping to see how Sasuke's memories effected Hiei during things like the Spirit Detective arc, the Saint Beasts arc, the Dark Tournament arc, etc. Wasn't especially interested in all the pre canon stuff.

While I enjoyed the prologue and the lead-up to canon, I hope the rest of the story - if it ever continues - isn't just going to be a re-hash of canon.

I really love the differences that there are. Along with everything else you've done. :)
Damn. That's quite the explanation.

That's amazing. I really love how you explained that.
This is such an awesome fic! I so love what you've done. :) you definitely aren't the only person who's compared sasuke and hiei. Or at least hiei being an uchiha somehow

School, the bane of existence.
I admit that I have watched Yu Yu Hakusho. I mainly read your story for its Sasuke-bastardiness and lack of horrible romance.
The two things I look for in any story really...
No glaring obvious grammatical mistakes I can see, and your prose is better than most Riff-Raff here. I read this on Ao3, and the best thing I liked about your style is that you post recommendations (allegedly ones I had already read but still-)
The storyline is still mostly following canon which makes it a bit dry, but with the beginning I assume Sasuke's influence on Hiei will slowly start becoming obvious. (Not to mention the total badassery of those tournament thingys that are suppose to happen... right? The wiki said so...)
Not that I didn't enjoy the musings on parallels and the elaboration of Hiei's back story and the justification for his actions. His thought processes are the coolest part.
You've read Obnoxious Bonds, and you see how Sasuke changes Hibari (and slightly diverges from canon). I understand you had to be somewhat the same to allow the Yusuke (that his name?) meeting but now you can go completely wild.
(Not completely wild, obviously, You've seen A Second Chance at Life by Miranda Flairgold. Too many OC's and diverges. Too fucking many)
Play with the characters a little, this is YOUR fanfiction. Make up small story arc's (Badass and awesome ones).
And don't give up due to lack of traffic and review's, its mainly because none of yourself has come into the story to be commented on. Any review would just be commenting on the original Yu Yu Hakusho storyline and not your work.
Keep up the good work, Waiting for the next chapter :)

*frowns* Hang on, Hiei is going completely off the deep end. Is this the blade, or something else? He's normally calmer than this...

Quite nice, all in all. Although, it's a lite disappointing that there seems to not be the slightest real change from canon. I find this story well written, but I really, really don't like canon rehashes.

Not a bad start at all. Well written, with good details and words that FLOW across the page.
