Great story! Congrats!
I was grinning like crazy when we found out Merlin was actually right! (Dragoon was really a dream(!), well, kind of)
The OCs were all right.
I loved the simple yet unexpected solution for defeating the monster (I think it was unexpected BECAUSE it was so simple).
Dragoon was less funny than he usually appears on fanfics (and on the show... well, after the finale I don't think I can say that anymore) but I welcomed the change.
One thing bothered me. Morgana. Actually, everyone kind of accepting her presence so easily was what bothered me. It felt OOC.
Again, congrats! And thank you for making me laugh earlier XD

Ok, this seems very interesting and I going to read the rest of the fic in one moment, but this isn't an actual review. So, I know it's silly, really really silly and stupid, but I almost laugh when I read "characters: Merlin/Dragoon (not a pairing, just in case you wondered)". No I didn't wonder that... well, at least not until you actually mentioned it... That was when I thought about it and started giggling.
Yes, yes, silly I know. But it made me laugh when I was feeling kind of... not happy, so I just thought I'd drop a review XD

This was a well though the out story. The ending was good but I did not like the cliffhanger even though I understand why it was done. Thanks for a great ride.

I know I haven't reviewed since the beginning of this fic, and that was BAD of me, especially when I loved this as much as I did, but I will make it up to you now.
First of all, I thought that the monster's origins and the idea that only the parent can protect a child from his nightmares was SUPER clever. Not only that but unique and amazing and just... that was REALLY a cool twist there. It got even cooler when Dragoon turned out of be a living dream as well. You described how he felt about that incredibly.
Now. THIS CHAPTER. I'm flailing everywhere! This might sound sad (and rather wrong), but I loved how you wrote Dragoon's death and why it was necessary. I loved that Dragoon jumped in front of the spike, and I love that there was some Dragoon/Merlin bonding at the end there. In particular, though, I ADORED that section where Merlin sees himself dying and how it FELT to see himself doing so. THAT. That was BRILLIANTLY written.
OMG, CLIFFIE. ;D You're cruel, lol, but I do admit that was a lovely way to end it!
