I think you want to write poetry and not fictional stories. That's my observation from the style.
You can write poetry based on fiction if you wish either.
The flow, suggests this is so.
To write fiction, you need to focus on less the physical events, but examples of that emotion. Transform parts of pain into objects. Etc...
Also, your in physics class and you dream about creativity?
Perhaps your going for the wrong degree.
My advice is try to be happy with what you do, though I think College makes people stupider. I am writing a beautiful story without a day in college that focuses on creativity. I still yet to have a successfully written story. I have made many attempts, but only 6 good ones. And have completed two beatiful poems.
When shared, the people were convinced I had extracted them from books. That is the mark of success to me.
Physics doesn't take a degree. Just a mind that can deduce there environment and use it to there advantages though I'd consider private reading study before you try to make a invention such as a car like Henry Ford did.
College, though I believe actually is damaging to the mind. For more on this, watch the movie Accepted.
I advise you to not take everything as "Fact", and decide what you think on that. What you choose to poor into your soul, should be your choice.
Bottom line is, both of these types of work require singular attention.
What I see is your studying Physics, and dreaming of creativity, and then acting on the idea possibly.
I suggest you take a breather, stop worrying about grades to decide the universal question: "What do I want?"
You can do them both possibly in a lifetime. Example, I can get my degree, and get a job and someday I can place some time to get my writing degree.
But one cannot do them both at the same time.
To write a good story, it takes above all time, creativity, the best fictional stories impart a message of beliefs or values, and a good story line. There is many rules to techniques and ways. All authors have different styles. You have to build yours if you do.
You have to find the locations that you can focus upon, and a age group. Some authors write for multiple age groups, and others focus on the corner. Some authors, don't make money. They post on sites like these while they work at restaurants/gas stations/fast food/advertisements. Or jobs they don't have to work on a punch clock, so if they wish to type another hour they can.
Only few become successful.
Do not take your move into this as a work lightly. Just because you see box office selling books, well its perhaps harder than the movie industry. It takes a lot of work, ware some fly by on looks.
