Liked the story. A little unsure on the tense / pov you have used, but it was consistent so I adjusted to it. Regardless, the relationship you built between them was good and it was nice to see Gale being the broken one as normally it's about Gale saving Jo.

I know you intended this to be a one-shot but you should continue it. It's a good story and there are not nearly enough Johanna/Gale stories. Hope you continue this! :)
