Dan may be a bit unsure about grandfather but as yet, he hasn't heard that Harry is a Lord and Hermione is his Lady. That's gonna come as a pleasant surprise. I know this is your story but just for the hell of it, the head of the DMLE is Amelia. No, I don't believe you need to reedit the entire story to correct that! As I said, this is yours and you can name her Sam, John, George or whatever you want to! Seeing as you wrote this in 2013 the military weapons have changed a bit since then. And as the magical world of Briton hasn't really change their attitude about the muggle world since sometime around the Dark Ages, I can't see them surviving any kind of fight against the muggle government. Oh, they'll have many early wins but we muggles adapt, investigate and invent. Whereas the magicals don't, period! I read a similar story to this where the military dropped one or two thousand pound bombs on a few Death Eaters homes and it was raining Galleons afterwards. That's all they found afterwards. Don't remember if there was anybody home at the time. I think that one was written in the later 90s or early two thousands as the bombs mentioned were laser guided. I think they also used one on Riddle Manor and had Harry pointing the laser. Again poor, poor Tommy-boy had no Horcruxes left to save his sorry ass. Anywho, I enjoyed the story and just thought I review it.

Ha! This was flowing rather well - predictably - but well. The logic was sound, though you are a bit more imaginative than some in the flow of that logic. Then, they tried to strongarm Harry.

I could see the Queen asking him to show up at a place and time of his choosing to give the coup-de-grace working... and I'm guessing that that is where things will head, once they pull their own out of their gussets.

Lots of "things that make you say hmmm", but no Merlin's spell books or Slytherin's Mastery suddenly imparted. You did mention that Harry has lost his scar and parseltongue, do you intend to review when he 'died', as that was not part of canon?
Past that, things are moving along well. They certainly are not the most affectionate of couples, then again you aren't focusing much on 'slice-of-life' scenes, but rather moving in overview fashion.
I did appreciate that the wrote Justin, giving a heads up to the mundane world.

Chapter two has them enacting a plan to marry without any discussion, as though this was carefully plotted out with exacting detail.
Then Hermione indicates that she was quite sure he was disappointed to be married to her and not Cho or Ginny.

Why would someone with such purportedly high standards, morals, and ethics get married to a man without believing that he genuinely cared for her as more than a friend, let alone wife?

Intriguing opening. The ending suggests a "DLD"- Dark Lord Dumbledore -character, ie one who actively and knowingly brings harm and suffering for their own pleasure and gain.
You've definitely set things up such that Hermione will have little in the way of reasons to stay. Harry showing up on a motorcycle to free her will be a ridiculously cliched scene, but a highly enjoyable cliche if it plays out that way. Then again, in Harry's case, he's usually the rescuee!
