Okay, I now have a new headcannon: That this happened and then the end of the Tenth Doctor Musical where Ten turns up in an apartment after "dying" where Nine was sitting on a couch watching the Ten's adventures. To watch Eleven's adventures.
Still doesn't stop the feels. This hurt, but it was a happy hurt. I could actually see this happen in my mind's eye, which was nice. This was a nice send-off.
