Yea, "A Little Night Music"! With "Rage", I came into it about a quarter of the way through...I am excited to start this story from the very beginning :)
My goodness...your opening paragraphs contrasting Light and Night were so poetically beautiful! What a way to start!
Wow, Erik is really torn up about the inevitable loss of little Christine...his conflicting emotions are very palpable. Of course, why wouldn't he be distraught? Even in the very beginning, she was more to him than a little girl, friend, or student...she was his SALVATION!

So glad to see another story up from you so soon! :D I love that, yet again, you've put a unique spin on things, shaking it up a bit from the musical/movie by having Christine set to be sent away to Madame Valerius (Yay for a rarely used Leroux reference!). And I adore Erik's innocent love for little Christine. :) So cute! 3 Seeing Erik and Madame Giry in their 20's is interesting as well...

Wow, I loved that last paragraph!
This is a really endearing story, and I can't wait to see what'll happen! The characters had a really great entrance! You really get a look inside of Erik's mind, to see what he is thinking, and it really seems like something he might think. Really awesome beginning chapter!
