Let me know what questions you don't get answers to, and I will let you know. I don't want to double answer anything. Great job by the way! LOVE the story!

Public schools in DC proper are pretty dismal unless you gain entrance into a school for gifted students
Which schools have school uniform and which ones don't?
Most public schools do not.
3)What are SATs? These are college entrance exams usually taken in
11th grade.
4)How much can a dollar buy? Not much.
5)If your 15-16 what grade would you be in? 15 would be a sophomore (10th)
16 maybe a junior (11th grade) all depending on birthdays.
6)What are AP classes? Advanced Placement. Usually contains a lot of rigor. At the end of the course, students test if they pass, they get college credit for the course.
7)What are school time tables like (i.e. the schedule of the day…when do you have breaks, lunch, home time)? That varies but usually 8-3:30 no real breaks usually a 5 minute passing period between classes. Lunch around noon or as late as 1 o'clock.
8)Are you allowed chewing gum in school? What are normal school rules?
9)Are all students automatically assigned a locker? Yes all students get a locker
10)Do you have a class in the morning where you register? Generally yes but sometimes there are specialized schools some students will leave campus for.
11)How much does lunch usually cost? How much does it cost to take the bus to school? Is it free? It's only free if the student is economically disadvantaged. $4-$5
A lot of students will bring their lunches.
12)How do detentions and other punishments work? Detention is usually assigned by the teacher for a chronic event.
13)Do you have books for each class or do you use notepads? Many schools are going to Digital textbooks so students have iPads or some other tablet that they can access those
14)How would a new student be typically treated?People are people so about the same as anywhere else
15)Do the cliques that you see in films actually exist? Yes but movies tend to make them more important than they really are.
16)Schools do normally start in August, right? Or did I get that wrong?yes
17)How does health care work, and how would Alexandria's work? She would be added to Tony's insurance. Sometimes children her age are still seeing a pediatrician.
Hope this helps.

This is a really good start to a story. I'm offering myself to be your beta but i've never done it before so i totally understand if you want to go with someone else. I can recommend mechabeira if you want a beta reader 'cause she's mine and is quite good :)
