OMG, OMG, OMG! I was squealing and fangirling so hard when I saw the alert in my inbox. New Story from THE IreenH! couldn't open fast enough in my browser. I didn't plan on reading right away - I'm at work after all - but the first sentences were enough to suck me right in. And then I couldn't stop until the last word. And WOW just WOW! I don't know how you do it, but keep doing it! You're writing is fantastic! I love how broken your characters are and how you write them. I wanted to know so badly what Edward's deal was. And then you mentioned him taking Lithium. I was shocked. My mom takes Lithium for 30 years now, so I know the disease for which it is presciptioned. And I thought to myself: Oh man, this might become a very bumpy ride. And during the prom scene I realized...oh shit...this is "just" a O/S. Oh no! I checked the top of the page and what a relief...you didn't hit the complete button...but there's not coming more... How sad that it's already over! I don't do O/S normally, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. I enjoyed it thouroughly, because I love your writing! I'm deep in awe and you really made my day with this!

I should have known it was you. I was just about to send you a PM when you posted this, congratulating you on the win for the HEA contest. It was the first time that I have ever read all the entries before voting. LOL Anyway, I voted for El Camino with a bullet and I wasn't even playing favorites because I didn't know you were the author. It was the angstiest of the bunch, but definitely the most well-written. The characters were complex and broken, but believable. The plot moved well and we got our HEA. What more can we ask of a story? Your win is much deserved!

I loved, loved, loved when I first read it and still do. You have a way of making your characters likable in their practical "unlikability," if that makes sense. Meaning they're come off as real and true and that's just so necessary imo. Well deserved of the judge recognition!

Why am I not surprised to find that this is your story? Love it, hope to see it continued!

Totally, totally gorgeous. Could they be more clueless? Youth is wasted on the young - but it does make for awesomely heartbreaky stories. Thanks so much for writing :)

I read this for the contest - one of the few I did read. I suspected it was yours as I basked in its brilliance! Congrats on your wins - they were all very much deserved.
