This is a rather odd pairing but I wouldn't mind trying to read it. That being said you would need to establish some kind of connection between them before this scene takes place. This is going to get unusually long but read if you want don't if you don't. :)
I would probably have a story line similar to brotherhood and have a more romantic connection start to bloom after Ed joins up with Ling/Greed and starts getting help from scar. You could make it so when she starts working with scar it becomes more than friendship and by the end, when ed trades his gate for Al it solidify their relationship. If you wanted to continue after that you could make it so when 'truth' says "You Win" means she keeps her alchemy because she was willing to risk it.
Anyway if you do continue I would love to see how you decide to do it. I only read non-cannon pairings because people have to get creative.

Just wondering, mostly because I've always thought that ‘03!Envy would view his “Replacement” differently had Ed been born female instead of male.
