I can't help but wonder, why didn't Roshi use the Dragon Balls to wish himself young again? Yes, it'd be a bit selfish, but, it would certainly allow him to have a more sturdy body, even if time has lost its effect on him. Samurai Roshi, isn't that a mental image.

Loved the hell out of this! very well written and an awesome idea. I like how you made new techniques and actually had roshi use strategy in his fighting rather than simply having him get his ass kicked then get a new determination and coming back with some new random week of strength and win with a final beam battle. Over all I loved it and I'm looking forward to more of your work

Gradually the cumbersome heavy bulk of Master Roshi's muscles began to shrink, not in power or potential, but in size, growing slimmer, denser and more compact without losing any strength at all; he even grew taller, now close to equalling The Demon King's prodigious height. By the time the transformation was done, he felt light as a feather, his speed matched his strength and toughness perfectly, his movements were nimble, it was the perfect warrior's body; and his power…..his power wasn't what it was, oh no, it was far greater, it had to almost match Goku's level back when Vegeta and that bald brute Nappa invaded. Roshi had always suspected he had untapped energy reserves, but this…..this was plain crazy.
Vegeta: See, I told you back when Trunks first arrived, you losers just haven't been trying hard enough!
Awesome mini-series. The number of reviews you've gotten is criminally underrated. But I suppose that the number of reviews that can be accumulated is severely handicapped by only having four chapters. But you've just given me more proof that there are fics out there that are more exciting than those with hundreds of reviews/favorites/follows. You did a wonderful job keeping the fight interesting despite the prolonged length of the battle. I hope that I and the rest of the DBZ fanbase will be fortunate enough to read more excellent entertaining stories from you in the future.

Hello, Chaosconetic. I would like to take the time and comment on your absolutely stellar fic; even though it was only four chapters in length, it absolutely dragged me in and captivated me until the very end.
The way you had Roshi and King Piccolo battle at such "weak"(in comparison to the other Z-Fighters) power levels yet still manage to have an amazing duel both leaves me amazed and speechless. I've truly never thought about how much this would mean to Roshi and how this would signify the "end of an era," so to speak.
The added bonus of Piccolo arriving near the end to have both an epic staredown with his father and Roshi was also another great example of "passing the torch," even though said metaphorical torch has been passed long ago.
This was a magnificent read, Chaosconetic, and I look forward to any future fics you may publish in the future!

This wasn't rush edit was great, I really liked how you had Roshi realize how to improve his 100% form by meaning it his own Super Saiyan transformation and getting loads of new moves, I think you should add all this into another fic or make one with this because it has great potential.
