I reviewed at the beginning and feel the need to review at the end. How disappointing! I really enjoyed the way this story took us in the direction we wanted CH to go. It was well-written with fewer mistakes than many stories on this forum. It was very entertaining and moved the story in the direction most fans of the books wanted them to go. A couple of chapters ago you wrote that you had plans for another angle to the story with a lot more chapters coming up. Then you just dropped the ball and walked away. You can edit these stories, you know. You should go back and remove any mention of continuing the story beyond this point. I saw only 25 chapters and thought another separate story might follow, but there's nothing. I still get email updates from stories I wrote here years ago, so I'm writing this on the chance you might see it.

I'm reading this about ten years after you wrote it. I did not read the last three books of the SVM series. I started to really dislike where she was taking the stories and characters and gave up. I had previously bought every new book on opening day in hardback edition. I wonder how many other avid readers she lost.
Plus, True Blood was still on TV and I preferred it, even with the awful writing of the last few seasons. I wrote some fanfiction of my own that I'm now ashamed of, because I wrote Eric completely wrong. If you read it, let me apologize in advance.
I'm just getting started but wanted to say thank you for taking the time to do this. I may not have read the books, but I know how she ended things. I hated it. I'm looking forward to a better story!

Poor Sookie. There's never enough time between disasters for them to have a decent conversation. Surely she could just nominate someone as the king/ queen with the knife? How would Karen like Oklahoma?

Hell no freyda isn’t a better choice for Eric. She’s got a big target on her back just by being a young Queen. Eric deserves his own choice. He’s earned it at his age!

Awesome story! I was so happy to see new chapters for me to read. I wonder what Eric is doing and when they will have a chance to talk about the Queen of Ok thing. I am surprised with someone after Sookie they have not asked her to move to an unknow location, like one of Eric's safe houses. And when is Mr C going to help Sookie with her mind reading? And when is Nial going to teach Sookie or send her a teacher or a book about her gifts. I can't wait to find out!
