I'm low key distraught about the fact this still gets an emotional tug from me though and I do feel nostalgic, this fic did genuinely get me crying back in the day and frankly I don't think, without these stories, I'd be doing what I am today or even be who I am.
Like, my eyes are genuinely watering barely even as I type this. Glad I looked over it again. Expect like, 4 more reviews from me, if you even see these, since I have like 4 more favorites to look at XD

This is quite possibly the most single-handedly adorable story I've ever read. So much, yet so little, completely predictable, yet heart-wrenching all the same. Very, very well done! I give you my praise. A well deserved favorite. Also, even though the dialogue was a bit corny, it is far too cute to matter! Encore! Encore, I say! Encore!

I was going to leave a comment saying that if you didn't write a sequel I might just have to-and I don't write very well-but you did write a sequel and I have to tell you, I enjoyed both stories a great deal. Toothless and Shadeswift were so cute!
One thing I did think of (but isn't really related to the story) is that for organisms to reproduce together and successfully mate they have to be of the same species. So for these two to produce little tiny Fury's they need to be of the same species, maybe just different subspecies or breeds. Like different dog breeds. This was just an intellectual comment, not a critique. We bio nerds like to spread our knowledge wherever we go.
Anywho, this was an enjoyable story and I look forward to reading more of your fics.
