Oh this was lovely! I love this characterization of Astoria, I imagine her a lot like this. I love how her and Draco fit together because they've both 'cut their strings' and I love that she taught herself how to cut her strings (which is a lovely metaphor, by the way) I loved how this was laid out. Your repetitiveness with 'red red red, tried tried tried' was really effective too.
