I've got to say, I really enjoyed the story D From the moment I started reading I could only stop because of my personal life, but in all my free time I was reading this and getting really into it.
I love how you developed Jim's backstory with events and characters from the Original/Prime universe and then made them you're own in this. Brilliant characterisation on the parts of Jim, Spock, Bones etc. You seemed to get into their characters very well. I also loved the development of the relationships between the characters.
Can't wait for the sequel!

Congrats in the completion of your fic!
I almost forgot Jim had a promise with Bones' little girl to paint his nail haha! His hands are pretty now. It's all worth it to be back safe and sound with his crew.
Lenore came as a surprise. I'm glad she was not traumatised as much as I thought she was and she finally meet JT, the guy who saved her. It's also ok that Lenore did not start a relationship with Kevin. If fate permits, they might get together. Who knows.
I really like your fic. It's easy to read and understand and everything flowed nicely. Again, I wish I'm half as good in writing as you. Have a nice break ahead!

And McCoy is right - Kirk DOES need psychotherapy to deal with the horrors of his past properly - so that he can become a much better, healthier person, and a Captain who might be able to stop Starfleet's various secret atrocities.
