I love the beginning of the story, I know there is a new version in progress, I also love that there is a second White Fang in Konoha, and I found the theoretical chapter interesting, It was very good

Honestly I really like your story, Kakashi is indeed a bit OC, but I think that's ok, it gives him a different twist.
Regarding de options, I think that it would depend, I prefer the first option, it's more intriguing ,but the second one is also appealing because the story would be more complete with more background information
