"But I challenge you to find me a woman..." BAHAH that was such a beauuutifully done period-reference ':P You are pure genius!
This story was really well-written. I LOVED Sirius' role here, and how he was like the smart-ass matchmaker plus best friend plus good cousin, overall good guy who could be confided in (not like that was needed) :P
Your use of language is excellent as always and I adored clumsy Tonks! Brilliant :)

Too bad that Tonks was proven wrong. It is really sad for Teddy. Thanks, I've enjoyed it.

This story was so amazing!
I love how hard Remus tries to mend her trust; I sort of feel bad for him, for having to go through that, even though he brought it upon himself, because his heart was always in the right place. But it completely makes sense that she wouldn't be able to completely get over it in a nanosecond, because she has a child to think of too.
And I love how she agrees to stay when he shows her how much losing her would destroy him. I also love her for following him because it's Tonks, you know? And that he feels he's failed her for not saving her is horrible, but I'm glad his grief over her is short-lived, at least. As cruel as it is for Teddy to grow up parentless, it would probably break my heart more to know Remus would forever blame himself for losing Tonks. At least they're together, you know?
Anyway, I don't want to bore you with any more of my comments but seriously, fabulous job! This is definitely one of my favorite Remus/Tonks stories of yours :)

This one...
Well, the irony of what I said last chapter about the less-angsty times doesn't at all prevent me from enjoying this chapter, surprisingly. Probably because you buttered me up with all the adorable comforty stuff before throwing the punches at the end ;)
Anyway I loved the Dickinson quote (one of my favorites!) and him comforting her about Mad-Eye and all and I love how she tells him, sort of scared, and of course it sucks that he reacts the way he does but it's also definitely Remus, so...yeah. Just amazing again!

I know you said you weren't going to write a full length Remus/Tonks story, but this is the next best thing, I suppose ;)
This is my absolute favorite time to read/write about them: when they're getting to know each other and Sirius is still alive and the amount of angst is bearable, not crushing. Not that the other times aren't amazing too, it's just the fluff lover in me appreciates how (relatively) simple things are before things get absolutely awful during HBP.
Anyway, love the concept of the story in surprises and I love the first one! So Tonks to brush it off like that, and I love his incredulity and how much he values it. I also love Sirius' meddling; I completely adore how you write Sirius! He's the perfect mix of smug and knowing yet mature about it–I love his matchmaking.
I'd go on all day if I listed all the things I love about this so I'll cut myself short and just say: amazing. Simply amazing. Love it!

It's always sad to read the final moments of Remus and Tonks, but this was also beautiful. I really love the idea of Remus leaving a letter for his son. Again, I found this story incredibly good-the idea of three significant moments in their lives that tie their time together so well. You have an obvious talent (that I am completely jealous of) and I hope to see much more from you!
