I'm very curious to see where this story is going. I wonder, does it have anything to do with Jory Ruhl? It would be the sort of thing he'd do, leaving somebody to die in the forest.
The biggest question I have is this: Why do you think you're a crappy writer? As far as I can tell, this story is great and since you wrote it, that would make you, at the very least, a decent writer, if not a good one. Out of curiosity, what defines a good writer from a bad one, in your opinion?

Ugh, school... takes up way too much time in my opinion!
I love your description on how the boy (my mind went blank and I forget his name...) feels and whatnot. Not alot of authors (including myself) aren't that good at describing something! Keel it up! :)
