This is so beautiful. I think the last scene is very much in keeping with the whimsy and celtic influence of the movie. It's very archetypal, and I can see it happening. I loved this. Thanks for writing it.

THIS SHIP THO
Like as soon as I saw the thumbnail for the movie on Netflix, I'm like "whoop, watch me ship this" and then SURE ENOUGH
Their relationship was easily the best part of this movie, and I was kind of frustrated that their arc didn't get a real conclusion. Like was Aisling stuck as a wolf? Did Brendan go back to visit her after he started living in his uncle's abbey again? What exactly did those black shadow things climbing up her legs do to her, anyway?
But you were able to bring to life exactly what I wanted to happen: Aisling turning into a grown woman when she sees Brendan again, and the two of them realizing their feelings for each other :D Honestly, if that had happened in the movie, that would have been all I needed in my life.
I love the fluff in this, and also how you contrast how carefree and openly affectionate Aisling is with how stern and distant the Abbott is. Brendan really needs someone like her after losing his parents and being with a bunch of adults who don't really give him much affection. I also like how Aisling got annoyed and snapped at Brendan when she was worried about him...it's very in-character of her, and it also makes her super relatable! It's also cute when he's trying to impress her and then she tells him he doesn't have to :3
D'AWWWW HE WANTED TO SAY I LOVE YOU BUT HE DIDN'T ACTUALLY GET TO UNTIL TWENTY YEARS LATER
MY HEART
I CAN'T
THIS IS TOO MUCH *dies*
(In all seriousness thank you for this! I've been in dire need of some Brensling ever since I watched this movie, and this was everything I could have hoped for!)

Good work. Really love the writing. Brendan and Aisling are in character, and their scenes are great.

Well.

You want to know what bugs me? I HATE THESE TYPES OF STORIES. They're so fragging annoying...

BECAUSE THEY END.

I just want to go on reading and reading and reading and never stop. This story is awesome. I want to see more! Perhaps more fluff between them? Aisling coming with Brendan to the bay for the first time as more than a shadow, more than a friend?

Love it. Looking forward to more, no matter what the "Complete" tag says.

Gah! So much cute fluffiness! That end part reminded me of the scene from "Holes" with Sam and Kate. And I loved the song! It just fits these two so much.
