I'm still reading this, and I was so excited when I got a notice in my inbox that you had updated this! I immediately headed here to read, even though I really should be going to bed. I know Hannah wasn't pleased about what happened in court, and I agree that at least Olivia should have been given a heads up about what was being planned, but it seems like everything worked out okay. I just hope the community service works out the way its supposed to. I can't say I blame Elliot for feeling frustrated, or even Hannah for that matter. But, Cragen and Alex did have Hannah's best interests at heart. Looking forward to reading the remaining chapters of this and seeing how this amazing story ends.

The one thing I‘d criticize as someone working with children is the part where the teacher is ‚fishing for information‘ and Olivia thinking she‘s not going to get it from her. The teacher should have as much background information as possible to understand the situation as best as she can and act accordingly. Basically it calls for a very open conversation and setting short term and long term goals covering competences in all areas (speech, social skills, social-emotional development, life skills etc.)
Working with a child with such a crass background is very intense (emotionally there is a lot of planning and burocracy involved. You have to document everything for a) the psychologist/psychoatrist b) the school itself c) legal guardian d) the statesince they seem to still be heavily involved.
