That was perfect. I have never ever read anything so unique and beautifully normal in regards to these two. Ever. The characterization is so dead on that It's good to a level of rarity.

Favorite part? No contest: No matter what happened, Mad-Eye lived. (So far, so good...) Occasionally, he lost a vital body part, (Okay... what?!) but he never seemed to mind. (O-kay...? WHAT?) He quite enjoyed shopping for kooky prosthetics afterwards. (... You just can't say anything to a statement like that...) Sometimes, I thought that was his favourite part of the job. (No comment, just explosive laughter.)
