This was an amazingly well thought out fanfic. It had a great and engaging plot and you mixed the right amount of humour and horror. It kept me reading late at night. It was a tragic end but watching Billy Mischief slowly become Bill Cipher was interesting. I loved the character development and how you made Billy believable.
That is all.

Your first fic made me cry at how brilliant it was, such tales are kind of rare here and i think i read them all.. I just wanted you to know that I would be reeeallllyyyy giddy if youd do that. *-*

I have to say that this was an amazing story! Everything fit so well! All the characters were really well thought out, each having a role and fighting so well with each other. Even the romance with Billy was great, and I usually dread romance and fanfics lol. It was very interesting to watch Billy's downward spiral into Bill Cipher. It was indeed a tragedy, but not without its humorous moments and I say you pulled off both very well.

This story is just... Gosh. Like I cant think of the right words. The plot is amazing, your writing is amazing, THIS STORY IN GENERAL IS LIKE A GOD SENT. I just I had so much feels reading this and I just want to thank you. Now back to my history homework that I've been procrastinating on. I blame this story. :)

I've read this story a couple of times and I can't get over how realistic this is. It should be he Blue Sky of Gravity Falls: highly acclaimed and well-adored in the fanbase. I hope you get the popularity you deserve with this story, because it is very well done. Being a small, unknown nobody here, my opinion may not matter as much, but for what it's worth, TV Tropes needs to see this :)

Whelp. I finished this monster. Now let me write a monster of a review for you.
First of all, let me tell you how I felt about this while reading. The description kind of intrigued me, since I've been looking around for a decent Bill Cipher back story, and voila! It popped up! Now, it also kind of worried me. Making Bill a magician from a circus and giving him the name "Billy Mischief" just sounded too cliche for me at the time. Good thing I kept reading, then
As I read on, I got more and more invested in the characters. This story kind of seemed like a Disney movie from the 90s, with its surprisingly realistic setting yet fantastical elements sprinkled here and there. It also, strangely enough, made me think of Magical Realism, where the setting and the characters are realistic, but there's sore freaky stuff going on that isn't supposed to, to which everyone (except bill, ironically enough) react like its completely normal.
I was also worried about another thing. I was worried that Billy would turn out to just be Bill's host, and the Dream Demon we know and love is not the main protagonist. You'd be surprised how many stories just have Bill possess someone instead of actually expanding on HIS OWN character. I was so happy when I read the chapter that revealed that Billy was the demon. The whole point of writing a back story for Bill is to make his character expand and make the audience sympathize with HIM, and not just some kid that he possessed. You, my friend, pulled it off, though.
Now, how about some characters. I loved all of them, honestly. Bill was, of course my favorite, even after he became a floating dorito in a top hat. He was a complete weirdo, a total dork, had a twisted and creepy sense of humor, and yet was still noble, kind, and fun-loving. He seemed to be completely loyal to his friends. When he became a demon, however, he didn't just "turn evil". You could see how his character got there. From the part where Billy lost his eye to the part where Gus betrayed him, I could tell how he was slowly but surely loosing his sanity. And when Gus "killed him" so to speak, you could see how blind hatred and revenge made him cruel and sadistic. But the point is, he was still caring on the inside. He seemed a bit detached from Ricky, making her see that nightmare, yet he was worried for her well-being, too, and didn't let her get sucked into the portal with him. And Bill still obviously cared about his Father, letting him be and even feeling regretful. He's not just evil in the end. Sure, he turns cruel and manipulative, but he's not evil. The same goes for the rest of the characters. You could have easily made Gus the bad guy in the final act. It would have been so much easier. Yet you didn't. The audience sees Gus's dark nature, yet they also see his regret, and feel for him when Bill gets his revenge. Not even is evil. He is a jerk, sure, but we understand where he's coming from. And that;s why the characters are so good. They're not one-sided. None of them turn out to be completely innocent, yet they're all still human (demon, whatever). You see them as people, not just characters. This isn't something you see in a fanfiction, where there is no villain. (Ironic, huh? The back story of a villain contains no villain).
The story was intriguing, with twists and turns that i didn't expect, despite reading like a dozen Bill Cipher fanfics. And while it was a bit strange to have Bill narrate the story, his manner of speech grew on me, and I actually liked the style. I noticed how Bill referred to the audience as "kid', which made me immediately think of Dipper. I wonder what Dipper would do with his new-found knowledge, though.
And, on a final, silly note, the chapter where Bill gets stuck on the island reminds me of Frozen so freaking much. I really expected Bill to start singing "Let It Go!" and throwing blue fire and golden magic everywhere. Haha...yeah, I'm weird. I'll make sure to read/review your sequel later. This, on the other hand, is going into my personal Gravity Falls headcannon.
On a side note, Ricky's immortal now. So shouldn't she be around during the show? I'm just interested where she is while Dipper and Mabel are off doing their thing. And how did Gideon get the amulet? And...you know what, I'm done, too many questions/
Bye ;P

Great story! You're an amazing writer! I loved all the "shit-eating grins" ;) they made me smile every time I read one! Out of all the Bill Cipher stories I've read, this one is the most accurate! It actually sounds like Bill, I like that. Thank you for writing such an awesome story, keep it up! :)
