Although the Reapers being effective against anything from 40K is laughable, it’s important to remember that this story’s humanity is nowhere near as advanced as 40K. It’s got similar capabilities but not the sheer power to boost those abilities to 40K levels. Like, you can make a Lightning Arc but it’ll be a pale shadow of the real thing. They haven’t had tens of thousands of years. Definitely not millions.
