This was beautiful. I wasn't even six months old when this happened, but I've heard so many people talk about where they were. My mom and I were at home, she watching the news while I was blissfully unaware. Since then, I've been to the memorial site at the Pentagon (beautiful piece) and heard stories of survivors and witnesses of the Twin Towers. It's horrible that people would ever think to do something like this and I can't even imagine how it felt to be on one of those planes, in one of those towers, in the Pentagon, or watching these whole thing unfold through a television screen. Thank you for writing this!

Thank you for reminding us of why it is so very important to fight for what we hold dear every single day and to honor those we have lost.

Very nice tribute to what was a terrible event. I, too, can remember exactly where I was when it happened. I was on holiday with my parents in France and it was shown in a news broadcast. At first, I thought it was a trailer for a new action movie, so far fetched did it seem, then we realised the horrible truth...that it was all too real and was actually happening. Even now, years later, it is difficult to watch, particularly those poor victims falling. One would hope that lessons could be learned from that terrible day, but sadly, they haven't, as terrorism still exists - just look at how the Middle East is being torn apart. We are in the 21st century yet we are still making the same mistakes.

Thank you.

For posting this story...
For keeping the memory of 9/11 alive...
For honoring those who passed away on that tragic day...
For respecting the many heroes who stepped up to save those that they could...
And for remembering that fateful day that the world came to a complete stop...

Thank you for writing this brief story and keeping the memory of 9/11 alive, and in our hearts always.
God bless!

What a lovely short story, but powerful. they do say great things come in small packages, and this is exactly what this story is.
Loving the flash backs from the teams perspectives, it made me recall where and what I was doing when those planes united both a nation and the world.
Rest in ever loving peace for all the new angels that were made that day.
