Aww this was pretty nice. But as I read it, it's canon era right? So I'm kinda wondering where you're going to take this... the incredible guilt of Grantaire not being able to keep his promise, or Enjolras staying alive (though... with the medical knowledge of the time and the chance of infections from this pretty bad wound (and hello, wood with splinters) that would be pretty hard).
But I really liked the background story for R. I always like the idea of him coming from a pretty normal, happy family (ok this didn't end out happy but you know... he grew up with parents that weren't abusive or anything.)
