It was not awful! I like it ( : I think Draco can be an amazing character and one thing JK made clear about him is that he cares for those he loves and will do anything to protect them, something I value a lot. So, that he decided to erase her memory to keep her safe, while he would continue knowing everything is very sweet and very protective of him!
