Personally, I think that maybe the lovely Oriental looking lady named Sunny who referred to him as the cop who lives upstairs in the motion picture “MAGNUM FORCE” as being more than likely the second Mrs. Harry Callahan, and that they had a son named Bartholomew Otto Callahan who would be about age of 47 years about now. So, unless he seeks out Harry to inform him that he’s his son from his fling with Sunny, or perhaps this entire story is just a nightmare for Harry Callahan altogether, which can only end with him waking up as Sunny has the bacon frying, and the coffee boiling. Ofcourse, nowadays it would be a lot easier if Harry Callahan was a self-employed private investigator, and he has been secretly digging up scandalous information for to oust some of his former superiors off of the SFPD, especially these by-the-book types such as Detective Captain McKay (as seen in “THE ENFORCER”), and Detective Captain Briggs (as seen in “SUDDEN IMPACT”) the brother of the late Detective Lieutenant Neil Briggs (as seen in “MAGNUM FORCE”). Afterall, did not Detective Captain McKay order a 360 day suspension issued against him, and did not Detective Captain Briggs insult him by calling Harry a dinosaur? It always pays off to listen between the dialogue just as it does to read between the lines.
Detective Captains McKay and Briggs have in common through the theory of Amateur Genealogy 101, although it is still stuck in its experimental stages presently, they’re biologically related to RCMP SSGT. Will Pomerory and Philadelphia PD Deputy Commissioner Edward Bradley Folkes, Sr., and all of the characters in question were played by the late actor Bradford Dillman in the following order:
Detective Captain McKay in “THE ENFORCER”
Detective Captain Briggs in “SUDDEN IMPACT”
SSGT. Will Pomerory in an episode of the classic 1983-88 ABC drama series “HOTEL”
Deputy Commissioner Edward Bradley Folkes, Sr. In the 6TH season episode titled “ HANNIGAN’S WAKE” in the classic 1984-96 CBS crime drama series “MURDER, SHE WROTE”. There’s no doubt that all of these characters are truly your rogues gallery of villains type in no uncertain terms.
In secrecy, a former Korean War chaplain of a Mobile Army Surgical Hospital, slipped into Canada via the boundary area canoe waters, and managed to track down the Pomerory family, and sent Will Pomerory and his wife to their graves in order to reunite their adopted daughter Lindsey with her biological family back here in the USA. Deputy Commissioner Folkes was forced to announce his resignation from the Philadelphia PD when mystery novelist Jessica Fletcher proved that Lydia Thurlow was murdered by the commissioner’s son who gave up a career in law enforcement in favor of the lifestyle of a narcotics peddler, and one of the junkies he needed money from was Lydia’s brother Eric Grant. When Lydia refused to give him the money, the younger Folkes then confronted her demanding the money, which led to the verbal argument that ended when he pushed her through the glass of a cabinet causing her death. Folkes Sr protected his son from having to go to prison, knowing that his wife would die from the shame of the scandal, and Lydia’s husband served sixteen years in prison for a crime that he never committed in the first place. So no sooner does Jessica Fletcher spill the beans to expose Folkes’ cover-up, Mrs. Folkes takes her own life, and at the press conference when Deputy Commissioner Folkes announced his resignation, he blew his own brains out in front of the live tv cameras, newspaper flashbulbs, and even the radio microphones.
As it happens, Harry exposes Detective Captains McKay and Briggs as being agents of the espionage group called KAOS, with the help of KAOS’ nemesis Maxwell Smart.
