Wow, fantastic beginning to what could become something really amazing!
This smells all sorts of 'Game of Thrones' for Oblivion and I love it! It's also really cool how you've fleshed out the Daedric Princes and their emotions/motivations. It's rare to see the Princes in such a personal light and granted it steers a little away from their godly attitudes, I enjoy nonetheless. (Too omni[potent/scient/present] is boring after all.)
Whether you continue it or not (focus on Defying Death for now, though), it's a fantastic start. :)
P.S. After reading your profile, I gotta love the appreciation you have for Kirkbride lore (The CHIM-Conundrum most-of-all). I know some people are really opposed to the metaphysical aspects he develops and it's cool to see references in here like Meridia being from the Magne Ge and Alduin's curse on Dagon from the Aldudagga.
