This was a really interesting piece and I could practically feel the emotions off the page. I love how you approach the idea of their relationship with one another and how the loss of the other twin impacts upon that leading to the regret that is often the only thing we are left with. This is a really touching piece that flows really well.

That was really, really good. The way you portrayed them and their relationship was beautiful. Great job.

AAAAAAH! This was crazy. Such a brilliant and creative piece of work! I absolutely loved each and every bit of this, words aren't enough to explain :o
I loved how you showed the widening gap between the twins, and that crazy complex that Padma was beginning to feel, and yay their mum is a witch! :D Also haha I like how you bring India in to the story...being an Indian, I approve :D Beautiful language and all that imagery with the gift and the cutting and the Sorting scene were so vivid, so real, so WOW. This is amazing and I am glad I got to read it!

The description you put forth toward describing Padma and Parvati's relationship was incredibly fascinating. I loved that, despite caring for each other on some level, Padma felt jealous of Parvati. Their story was heartbreaking and tragic. Above all, you handled the darker subjects (which were appropriate in this story, as it does take place during the Final Battle) in a delicate way and respectful way. The non-linear structure makes the piece even more powerful. I adore your writing and I even found the subject matter intriguing. This was an overall fantastic, well written and enjoyable fic. Great job!

Oh, this was fabulous!
I love your depictions of the twins - it's usually Padma who's the goody-two-shoes for her parents, in touch with her heritage, not Parvati. You've completely upturned their characterisations - made one the other - and it works gorgeously here!
I really like the way you've written it, with the beginning and ending part of Padma's elegy, and the middle written in a way like she's flashing back to all those moments while she speaks.
This was lovely - well done! :)

Wow, this was so heartbreaking, so sad, you wrote Padma, Parvati and their parents well. I liked reading a little bit of their heritage and the ways Parvati and Padma were different, great job overall I liked it. :)
