Ah, what in the world? I honestly expected this to be a hell of a lot more popular. I spent most of this time reading it crying my eyes out. At first, because Naruto was dying, and then all of this time travel stuff and... Goodness gracious, my hearrrrrrt.
I think you're really awesome at making us feel something for the characters in this story. I mean, sure, I originally felt for Naruto and Sasuke, but they wouldn't be nearly this intense if you weren't bad ass at portraying emotions. The characters COULD be a little OOC, because honestly I have no idea how either of them would react in that situation, but I think you got them down pretty dang well.
Anyway, I'm favoriting this because I'm still crying over it and you write so well, soo... Yeah.

Damn. Who says you can't write good fight scenes? That was awesome! You know how hard it is to write exciting shuriken fights? You nailed it!
Though for a second, I did think SAI had been the one who was decapitated. Which made me very, very sad.
Clever play with his name at the end there, by the way.
One thing though: how does Anko know what the Tsukuyomi is? It wouldn't exactly be common knowledge. I mean, she would probably realize that it's a genjutsu, but an ancient Uchiha secret technique that no-one has used for the last couple decades? Unlikely.
Besides that nitpick, great work on this chapter. Can't wait for the next one!

Oh, that's going to be violent. In the best way.
Chibi Sai gonna make an appearance?
I'm extremely interested to see where the post time-travel world will be going now, considering the nature of Sasuke's promise. Should be heartwarming.
Oh, and Sakura, however briefly, was hilarious in this chapter:
(Looks up, sees the world ending)
"God DAMMIT Naruto! What did you do?!"
Pure gold.

Your writing is great. Very gripping (though at times, the italics get a little bit overused; something that I am all too familiar with myself.)
I was wondering where this was going. Time Travel, huh? With a one day time limit? (Unless I misread Itachi's instructions). That's gonna be tense.
Epic length? Will you be following the new timeline then, after Naruto and Sasuke change things? That could be interesting.
Oh, and what's killing Naruto? Did I miss something, or is it supposed to be mysterious and vague?
Lastly: What did you read that made you angry? I got to know.
