I cannot say how glad I am to see an update. It shows me you're alive and well.
As to the story, I LOVED it. I can't wait to see what happens when Soft Cries meets Erik.
There is so much potential here. You could easily explore how different the Xenos' emotions are, but what is similar, too. I could see Soft Cries protecting Erik from others in the Hive who would want to hurt him. For whatever reason, I like the image of a Xeno hugging a human, and I look forward to seeing when she gets to embrace her "mama".;)

What an amazing, and inspiring story! I hope you continue it, as I'm curious what happens next. I feel there's a link between Erik and Soft Cries, but not positive. Please don't leave this lovely story to languish in what I call "gumbo"; a great story the author never finishes. I see too many stories like that, stories we wish we could read the end to, but never will. Don't let this one fall into the gumbo pot as well.

I've never seen anything as amazing as this, and I cound the Aliens novels and comics in that statement!
I sincerely hope you update this soon, as I wanna know what happens next! And who or what from outside the Hive becomes a member? Is it Erik? I wonder how a Xeno like Soft Cries wil react to find their host, their "First Mother" is alive. Can Aliens shed tears? I bet it'll be a tearful reunion, and look forward to it. I'm telling all my friends about this gem!

I was really interested in this story!... until the second chapter. That's when I noticed that virtually every sentence is a run-on, and intensely confusing to read. It pains me to say this, since the story has so much potential, but I think it needs some /serious/ editing.

I'm also curious, in the summery, you say about a non-Xeno being part of the Hive, but we haven't seen that yet. Or have we? Erik died and was cloned, does that mean HE was Soft Cries mama? Or is it somebody else? I can't wait to find out! I'll be reading and waiting!

This is one heck of a neat story, I don't know why I haven't read it yet!
This is amazing! The way you bring us in and see how it is inside a Xenomorph Hive, from their point of view. I'm blown away by them feeling sad they kill their hosts. I really, REALLY want to see what happens when a host survives. I can imagine how happy the little one would be. The host (assuming a human host) would, of course, be scared at first, but I imagine they would take them out of the cocoon and try to make them comfortable and show them they won't be hurt. That, in and of itself, would be something amazing.
Please update and continue this amazing story. I guess my review makes number 10, and I hope you get the other 980 this story deserves!

What an amazing and incredible story. I haven't seen too many stories that deal with the Aliens' point of view. The fact they mourn the death of their hosts is a new and interesting angle. I cried when I read the first chapter, and felt very sorry for Soft Cries. I sincerely hope you update this, as I want to see how it comes about that a host survives, and I really want to see how they react to having that happen. I'd imagine they would be protective of hosts that survive. I have never read a piece of fan fiction that is as immersive as this, so please update soon.

This is such an amazing story, I'm almost speechless! I never thought I would empathize with the Aliens, but I do. Seeing how they are wounded by the killing of their hosts, it makes me feel sad. Smooth Face isn't lazy, she just can't stand seeing the hosts die in pain. She probably still remembers the pain in killing her host.
DUDE! I got an idea: Smooth Face is tending to a host, and knows the birth is close. She can't stand to see another death, so she uses her claws or tail to cut under the ribs, and tells the baby to follow. She slips out of the cut, and Smooth Face uses resin to bandage the person's chest. If they're asleep, they wouldn't feel it, hopefully. Smooth Face defied Soft Cries orders, but may have changed the course of Xenomorph history, all in the name of mercy and love.
Please don't give up on this fabulous story!
