This is very good. How awkward for Peter! Neal didn't overplay it at all. I loved the 'plausible deniability' to protect both of them, really. Thanks for writing.

this was really cute, and I felt it stayed true to character. not too fluffy to be realistic, but still fluffy enough to love. just a note, though, picking locks isn't illegal in and of itself. if Peter gave him permission, there would be no crime. also, he was not outside long enough to get frostbite or even frostnip; just cold hands. those two things sort of drew away from the aspect of realism, but I don't think they were so distracting that they impacted the story as a whole. just messed with the flow a little bit. thanks for sharing! it really was a wonderful story.

That was such a lovely story! The friendship and banter between those two was so true; it could have been on screen. I loved the ending on the sofa too; so cute!
