Holy ship. You beat Falknervwith only a Hoothoot? I needed a Totodile, a Pidgey, and a Geodude, all around lvl 17! I shoulda thought of that.
Of course, those three pokemon were with me all the way, and now they have all gilly evolved while I'm training a Mudkip and Charmander on Mt. Silver. You can get a Hoenn and Kanto starter after you beat Red. I hated that battle. I used a million and one revives... :(
