Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant. I always wished they had hinted more to Ianto's PTSD in the show.

This is brilliant! You've really captured Ianto's barely controlled panic, and the complete meltdown when he comes across the shell of a Dalek unexpectedly. I love that he still jokes (very Ianto) as a way of dealing with the fear, and I love Jack's concern. He doesn't mollycoddle Ianto, because Ianto doesn't need that, but he offers support, reassurance, and a steadying hand. I hate it when Ianto is written as a wimp who needs protecting; here, you've shown him as a strong, capable man facing the most terrifying thing he's ever come across for a second time, trying to stave off flash-backs to the first time because he still has a job to do and can't allow the memories to affect his ability to deal with what's happening in the here and now.
Very well done.
