I agree. IceEyes should be her own dragon without a rider. And having Astrid and IcyEyes being bonded friends like IcyEyes is like with Hiccup, is perfect.

Oh thank god she was able to get away. But at what price?
It's so soothing to see those two together. You know icy has changed for the better. She is now more confident and brave. I bet being with tooth is influencing him :)
Gotta say, even after being away for so long, it still is my fave story!

Why didn't icy just fold her wings and drop out from the pack of flying dragons, that way she wouldn't have been dragged there. Anyways, there's no way hic and tooth know where she went so looking for her is going to be hard.
also about the raid thing, even though the red death said spine made would commit acts of violence towards her if she disobeyed, I think he might do it anyways, just as a way to pay back toothless' doings.
Ugh... Out of ideas right now, I just want to read more!

Also, Astrid has reached the point of becoming suspicious about hiccup. It'll be very soon when she finds out about the NFs or at least clues about them.

Don't need guilt to be painted all over you face and face and more paint on your face, with more facepaint and face covered in paint and paint in your face and faceplant in the paint and...and...uhhhhh...more paint? Toothless is trying to motivate IcyEyes that they will not fail or fall but rise and defeat the oppressor with Hiccup by their side. For they fight for hope and they will prevail.
In the morning they hear Hiccup's cries and rush to his aid They save him but get captured. IcyEyes realizes that she actually fought the Vikings (when you have something to fight for... )
Hiccup stands alone but is joined by Astrid who declares that she will be there for him. But she wants to know the truth. And thus the riders shall be born. In the meantime Toothless and IceEyes are trapped and headings towards the Nest...

Yay! The battle of the green death is next! ... uh, I mean, oh no, they've been captured. But we all knew that was happening anyway, so. I'm am glad that Astrid will still have Stormfly as her dragon though, they seems to work as a good team. Please update soon!

For dragons gift of the night fury I'm thinking baby night furies. Are you thinking baby night furies? It will be awesome if you continue this story with the TV episodes. And maybe you could have Hiccup and the gang age up a little during the episodes, something dreamworks didn't do. Toothless and hiccup attack with icy eyes hidden from anyone's view if hiccup and toothless are captured icy eyes to the rescue. I also loved your story Impact, if possible I think you should continue it as well as the ice age-httyd crossover story I liked that one as well. There are so many stories I wish you continue... Sorry got of track, anyway thank you again for these awesome httyd stories

Great chapter. I was wondering how it would play the Ring scene and you wrote it very well. Cant wait to read the battle with the Res Death, and somewhere in the future, this universe's version of the Dragon series. Keep up the great job ;)
