Alright, this fic takes place after the Easter fiasco and Jack gets sent away but before the scene in Antarctica with Pitch and Babytooth. I apologize for the shortness of it and this is a OneShot and I won't be continuing, sorry! This is my second story so I'm still pretty new at this writing stuff, so tell me what you think!

Disclaimer: I own nothing

Summary: "Jack felt cold. Not the Jack-Frost-is-nipping-at-your-nose kind of cold. Empty cold." Post-Easter fiasco

"Oh Jack... What have you done?"

"That is why you weren't here? You were with Pitch?"

"Easter's about hope. Now, it's gone..."

Their voices kept ringing in Jack's ears.

"No, listen, listen... I'm sorry! I didn't mean for this to happen."

And he was sorry. Terribly sorry. Jack was sorry for a lot of things. Sorry for following that voice down into Pitch's lair, thinking that he had time that he didn't have. Sorry for not being able to help and losing Babytooth. Jack felt cold. Not the Jack-Frost-is-nipping-at-your-nose kind of cold. Empty cold.

"We should have never trusted you!"

Jack sighed. Maybe Bunny was onto something. They should've never had trusted Jack. He was too distractible, foolish.

"He has to go."

And so he did. None of the Guardians called for him to come back. But that's okay.

The cold never bothered him anyway.
