It's been a week since Strike Shadow's victory in the circuit, the members of Samurai Dragon have worked out the kinks in their decks, or at least tried to, but no progress has been made on that front. Even with the g zone increased at the end of the first stage, they still have a long way to go.
"Defeating the Asia Circuit stage winners... so we'll eventually have to fight them." Tom thought as he worked on his deck.
"We'll win the next stage, we have to." Max thought as he looked through his pile lf cards.
"I refuse to be a burden like I was at the regional tournament." Megan thought.
"The world stage... this is our shot at reaching or even surpassing our parents." Greg thought.
In that nmoment, a young man walked through the front doors, and a huge grin etched his face.

"Excuse me... but where can I find Team Samurai Dragon?" The young man asked.
Tom, Megan, Max and Greg all looked up, and saw a young man with spiked black hair with blond streaks, and bright blue eyes. He has light skin tone, and slightly muscular build. He's slightly taller than Sora. His outfit consists of a black t shirt with a brown jacket layered over it, he wears blue jeans and dark sneakers.
Immediately, all the members of Samurai Dragon stood up, and stared at him.
"Who are you?" Megan asked.
"Drake Callaghan, but please.. call me Drake." Drake said as he got down to one knee, took Megan's hand, and kissed it.
Max and Megan both blushed, albeit for different reasons, then Megan slapped him across the face.
"I should press charges for that!" Megan yelled.
"Well that chivalrous moment didn't last long." Tom thought as he was holding his head as if he had a headache.
Drake held his cheek as the stinging pain of that slap lingered, "thank god I didn't lose a tooth, my dad would've killed me." Drake thought.
"Um.. why exactly are you here?" Greg asked.
"Simple, you guys beaten my friends 3 times in a row, so I'm here to get a little payback." Drake answered as he pointed at the four of them.
"Your friends?" Tom thought.
"So, who's gonna fight, I'll take any one of you on!" Drake exclaimed.
"I will." Greg spoke up.
Tom, Megan and Max all looked at Greg with a slight shocked expression.
"Great, now let's go." Drake exclaimed.
Greg and Drake walked to a vanguard fight table, and set their fields accordingly.
"I don't know what to expect, but I know I can win." Greg thought.
"You ready?" Drake asked.
"As I'll ever be." Greg said.
"Then let's stand up true vanguard!" Drake exclaimed.
"'True vanguard'... where have I heard that before?" Tom thought.
Greg and Drake stood their vanguards, then on Cray... their spirits went to an abandoned factory like building.
"Extreme Battler Runbhol (5000)!" Greg revealed.
Greg's outfit changed to a pilot's jumpsuit as a miniature robot appeared behind him, he jumped into its cockpit. The robot has a big head, and a mostly cream/black body. The orange parts were augmentations of the body parts.
"Wyvernkid Ragla (5000)!" Drake revealed
Drake's spirit transformed into a small wyvern. It has pinkish-red scales, and the tip of its tail is fire.
"Kagero, this is not going to end well." Greg thought.
"Since your Novas like the second turn, I'll go first.. draw, then ride Wyvern Strike Garan (8000), Ragla moves!" Drake declared
A dragon bird of several different colors appeared as Ragla flew back. This dragon's right wing is red, left wing and head are blue, it's stomach is cream yellow, tail orange, it's legs are purple with green streaks.
"Call Dragon Knight Fallel (5000), and that ends my turn." Drake informed.

Runbhol's body grew, but it's head remained the same... Kendhol looks like a downgraded version of Victor, and Runbhol appeared behind it.
"I boost Kendhol with Runbhol, and attack Garan (13000)!" Greg exclaimed.
"No guard." Drake decided.
[Drive check - The Gong - draw trigger]
"Power to my vanguard (18000), and I draw." Greg revealed.
Kendhol locked on to its target, then slashed Garan across its chest.

"Can you guys see how this fight will end?" Tom asked.
"All I can see is a lot of fire." Max answered after activating his psyqualia
"Me too." Megan added as she did the same.
"This isn't good." Tom thought.
"I ride Radiant Dragon (9000)!" Drake exclaimed.
Drake's vanguard evolved, this time into a huge serpent dragon with gold scales.
"Call Apex Dragon Mage Kimnara (8000) and Dragon Knight Nadim (9000)!" Drake added.
"Kimnara got upgraded?" Tom thought.
"Now Kimnara attacks your vanguard, let's blaze it up!" Drake exclaimed.
Radiant Dragon's body caught on fire as Kimnara raged it's attack.
"I don't guard." Greg informed.

"Kimnara's counterblast..l since my vanguard is Blazing, I retire Runbhol!" Drake exclaimed.
"There it is.. Kagero's signature ability." Tom thought.
"With support from Ragla, Nadim attacks... Blaze it up.. add 2000 power (16000)!" Drake exclaimed.

"Finally with support from Fallel, Radiant Dragon attacks Blaze it up once more (14000)!" Drake declared.
"I guard with Prometheus (10000)!" Greg countered.
[Drive check - Dauntless Drive Dragon - no trigger]
Radiant Dragon flew in to attack, but a battleship with arms blocked the attack.

"Ride Magician Girl Kirara (9000)!" Greg exclaimed.
Kendhol's cockpit opened, and Greg's spirit jumped out, then it morphed into a robotic version of a witch. The texture skin color is purple, and the wand color is silver with a green tip.
"Call Final Wrench (7000), Bear Down Samurai (7000) Daredevil Samurai (9000), and Extreme Battler Sazanda (9000)!" Greg exclaimed.
"Next turn will be Greg's deck at its best." Tom thought.
"I wonder who this guy is, and why did he call out 'true'?" Megan thought.
"Magician Girl Kirara attacks your vanguard (9000)!" Greg declared.
"No guard." Drake informed.
[Drive check - Extreme Battler Zanbhara - critical trigger]
"Power to Sazanda (14000), critical to Kirara (2 critical)." Greg informed
Kirara pointer her wand at Radiant Dragon, and fired a magical blast that struck the dragon in the neck.

"Power goes to my vanguard (14000), and I draw." Drake revealed.
"Kirara's counterblast... draw 1 card, then I'll have Sazanda attack your vanguard (21000)!" Greg declared.

"Luck's on my side... power to my vanguard (19000), and recover 1." Drake informed.
"Daredevil attacks Nadim (16000)!" Greg declared.
"Alright." Drake said as he sent the card to the drop zone.

"Great Dragon, set fire to everything that stands in your way, ride Dauntless Drive Dragon (11000)!" Drake exclaimed.
Fire engulfed Radiant Dragon, and from that fire came a massive Red armored dragon with its arms folded.
"Call Dragon Fang Chain-shots Sutherland (11000), and Escort Dragon Attendant Reas (6000)!" Drake exclaimed
"Those got upgraded as well?" Tom thought.
"He reinforced his field again, but he can't blaze." Greg thought.
"Sutherland's skill, when a unit appears in the same column as him, I counterblast, and retire a rearguard... I choose Daredevil Samurai!" Drake exclaimed.
"Great.. just great." Greg thought as he sent the card to the drop zone,
"With support from Fallel, Dauntless attacks Kirara, let's blaze it up, and add 2000 more power with Dauntless' skill (18000)!" Drake exclaimed.
"No guard." Greg decided.
[Drive check - Dragon Knight Jannat - critical trigger]
"I give the power to Sutherland (20000), and the critical to Dauntless (2 critical)." Drake revealed
[Drive check - Wyvern Strike Garan - no trigger]
Dauntless opened its mouth, and flames rushed from it, and burned Kirara alive.

"With support from Reas, Sutherland attacks Kirara... blaze it up (26000)!" Drake exclaimed.

"Ultimate Warrior, bring down the pain.. ride Asura Kaiser (11000)!" Greg exclaimed.
The ultimate battle machine, Asura Kaiser appeared in all its glory.
"Liberating the Generation Zone!" Greg exclaimed as he discarded Victor from his hand.
"Here we go." Tom thought.
"Now, bring forth your power into the next age... stride generation!" Greg exclaimed.
Asura Kaiser's body and weapons changed... now it has a red over armor, and carries six different weapons.
"War Deity Asura Kaiser (26000)!" Greg exclaimed.
"Wow.. this is pretty impressive." Drake thought.
"Call Daredevil Samurai (9000) and Kendhol (8000)!" Greg added
"He used up his entire hand... this isn't good." Megan thought.
"With Asura Kaiser's skill, I send Viktor back to the deck, this unlocks my vanguard's ability... when I drive check a grade 3, four of my rearguards stand up." Greg informed.
"That's a risk he took, let's see if it pays off." Tom thought.
"Daredevil attacks Dauntless (16000)!" Greg declared.
"No guard." Drake informed as he checked his hand.
[Damage check - Gattling Claw Dragon - draw trigger]
"Power to Dauntless (16000), and I draw 1." Drake informed.
"War Deity attacks your vanguard (33000)!" Greg exclaimed.
"Protect Orb will nullify that (perfect guard)!" Drake countered.

"All effects to Sazanda (19000, 2 critical), and I heal 1." Greg revealed.
"He didn't attack with Asura last... why, that wastes his best ability." Megan asked.
"Well.. if I had to guess, he probably didn't think he'd get a grade 3 on the triple drive, and left what he could get up to chance." Tom informed.
"Just try and attack." Drake thought.
"With support from Bear Down, Sazanda attacks Dauntless (26000)!" Greg exclaimed.
"Liberating the generation zone!" Drake exclaimed as he discarded Mother Orb Dragon from his hand.
"Gattling Claw must have given him this card." Tom thought.
"Now let's go... Generation Guard... Flame Wing Steel Beast Denial Griffin (15000)!" Drake exclaimed.
"Generation guard... the power to evolve the heal triggers into stronger guardians." Tom thought.
"Denial...Griffin?" Greg asked.
"With his counterblast, I retire the attacking unit." Drake informed.
"No way!" Greg exclaimed as he sent Sazanda to the drop zone.
"Now with nothing else, you have to end your turn." Drake smiled.
"You're right.. turn end." Greg stated.

"Stride Generation... Supreme Heavenly Emperor Dragon Dragonic Blademaster "Taiten" (26000)!" Drake revealed.
Dragonic Blademaster's future self appears in a glorious blaze of fire. It's body is heavily armored, and it has 4 arms.
"I call Nadel (7000), Ragla's generation break.. counterblast, then I send it to the soul, and retire Final Wrench!" Drake exclaimed.
"Oh man." Greg thought.
"Move Nadel back, then I call Nadim (9000)!" Drake exclaimed.
"This is it." Greg thought.
"Blademaster "Taiten"'s Generation break... I counterblast, and persona blast... I retire Daredevil." Drake informed.
"That leaves Greg with 2 rearguards." Megan thought.
"With support from Fallel, "Taiten" attacks... let's blaze it up!" Drake exclaimed.
Blademaster's body caught on fire, and it's swords took on the form of dragons made out of fire.
"In addition to Fallel's normal boost, his ability checks my vanguard to see if it has the blaze ability, since "Taiten" does, add 5000 power, then if it's in fact blazing, add 5000 power... not to mention "Taiten"'s blaze ability gives it critical +1 (41000, 2 critical)!" Drake informed.
"Is that all?" Greg asked.
"Nope, since I retired a unit with Ragla, and I have a Dragonic Blademaster vanguard, I add 4000 power (11000), and countercharge." Drake informed
"I nullify the attack with Blau Dunkelheit (perfect guard)!" Greg countered.

"I give the power and critical to Nadim (16000, 2 critical)." Drake informed.
Blademaster "Taitan" send it's flames at Asura Kaiser, but it was stopped by a mecha with adamantium shields on its arms.
"With support from Nadel, Nadim attacks... add 2000 power (29000)!" Drake declared.

"Well, that was a hoot." Drake exclaimed.
"He's good... he defeated Greg like it was nothing." Tom thought.
"Well, as a member of Team Frozen Flame, I just couldn't let my team lose do many times against you guys." Drake stated.
"Team Frozen Flame!" The 4 of them exclaimed.
then, at that moment, Dragan and Brian walked into the shop, Drake looked and waved to them.
"Drake... you're late to the team meeting." Brian said as he sighed.
"Yeah, clean up your cards, and let's get moving." Dragan added.
"Well, I'm out of here." Drake said after cleaning up his cards.
Once Drake left the shop with Brian and Dragan, Brian looked through his deck.
"You built an amazing kagero deck, can't belive how much power there is." Brian said with an impressed tone.
"What do you think of them?" Dragan asked.
"Greg was pretty interesting to say the least, I was hoping to fight the others." Drake informed.
With those 3 guys out of the way... after cleaning up his deck Greg looked at it, hoping to get something from rebuilding it.
"He destroyed me... I couldn't get my full power out... I'll pay him back." Greg thought.
"G guardians... will they help me get to my dad's level?" Tom thought as he did the same.
Drake: my name is Drake Callaghan, and Decode 9 created me!
Max: huh?
Greg: I can't belive I lost that badly!
Tom: save it, the next stage is starting.
