"Maddy!" She heard Liam call. He had just gotten back from a mission in pilgrim times, where he had to live with Bob on an island with meager farmlands. He wanted to go back to his home town of Cork, Ireland, but he was tentative about doing so. What if someone recognized him? What if he met his past self? It seemed like an unattainable dream to her.
"I've figured out a way to go back so that no one will recognize me!" That caught her attention.
"Really?" Maddy prompted. "How?" Getting up from where she was sitting, she made her way over to Liam. Peering over his shoulder, she grinned at the picture he had pulled up. After being rescued from The Titanic, he hadn't wasted any time in learning how to use the technology of 2001. Suddenly, a muffled thump came from Sal's bedroom.
"Jeez-puhs!" A 14 year-old girl pushed the door open. "Sorry guys." She said sheepishly. "You did tell me not to procrastinate." Then she shrugged. "At least I got my high score." The teen definitely still showed traces of living in 2041. Her t-shirt was advertising a high metal rock band, "Passion for Thrashin' ", that would probably not be around for another 35 or so years. The style of music by its self wouldn't exist for another 20 years. On top of that, she wore a faded black hoodie with silver detailing.
Maddy was startled when she heard the fire alarm go off. Quickly grabbing the emergency kit, she raced outside. It was just one of those days.
