It was hot and bright and sunny in Mexico. The beer was cold and tequila was great (Hayley was learning to love alcohol). It was nice to just be enjoying themselves and not worrying about health issues or the government.

Hayley rolled over and placed her head on Vince's chest. It was two months since the crash and now they were "holidaying" in Mexico. They had gotten discharged from the hospital with Jesse an hour after the Feds left. With Jesse saying the same as Vince, the Feds went on a hell raising hunt for Brian.

"Morning beautiful," Vince murmured and she smiled against his chest.

It was nice to be the only ones around; having not just the room to themselves but the whole place. It was an odd feeling to know that it was just them and they would only have each other with no interruptions.

Dom was hunting down Letty who disappeared after the last heist. Apparently leaving a letter for Dom and then disappearing. Dom had been gutted and was now trying to search her down. Hayley knew he wasn't the type to give up but real life was calling not leaving him much time to find her. Hayley knew that Letty didn't want to be found and if she didn't want to then Dom had no chance in finding her.

With Jesse almost fully recovered, both Leon and Jesse went back to one of their foster families. They were spending time with the families just to get their minds settled and calm down. Hayley knew Leon still blamed himself for Jesse getting shot even though it was the kid's fault. It was good for both of them to be with the family that helped raise them. It was like a reset button and would do them the world of good.

And Mia, well she was still in LA, sitting by the phone waiting to hear from Brian. The last anyone had heard was that Brian was causing a huge storm in Miami. It made Mia worry but Hayley was confident that he would come back soon. He liked her too much not to.

"Hey," she whispered back.

He grinned at her, just as lazy as her kiss. His therapy was going well and he was slowly, very slowly recovering. It would take months if not years for him to recover. He had been so lucky. The doctors were positive about him being able to drive again and have full use of his arm. Vince had also just been given the all clear and was now able to fully participate in everything (especially the bedroom activities).

The Toretto Team had all been cleared with the Feds. They were able to cut a deal of community service. While it wasn't what they wanted it was better then sitting in a jail cell. And with almost all of the hours done, life would return to normal soon.

Hayley and Vince were only in Mexico for two weeks and were making the most of it. It would be back to the real world soon and they wanted to stay in their bubble for as long as possible.

Hayley gently touched his face, her fingers tracing his features. Vince's eyes never strayed. She smiled, a real happy one with laughter matching in her eyes. It was almost cruel to be this happy when others mainly Dom and Mia were so unhappy. Dom was being to drink himself into a stupor and Mia was pinning over Brian who in reality who both the man that betrayed them and saved them. And no one knew where Letty was or what the hell she was playing at.

Hell, three months ago, Letty and Dom had been happy and in love. Now Dom was searching and drinking and wondering what the hell he was meant to do. Vince had told her the truth behind the last heist.

Dom was going to propose. He needed the money to buy a wedding ring and to fix up an old house that his father had given him. According to Vince, Letty didn't have a clue about the proposal or that Dom wanted to move out of the family house with her. But now, instead of planning a wedding or enjoying a honeymoon, everyone involved were nursing some sort of wound.

"Wanna go to the beach?" Vince asked quietly, rubbing her back softly.

"Nah," she replied just as quiet. "Let's just stay in bed today,"

"Fine with me,"

Vince closed his eyes, leaving her to study him. He had finally told her he loved her; last night during sex. While it wasn't the most romantic setting, Hayley knew he had meant them. And honestly she didn't care when he said them, she had known he loved her. And that was all she needed.

Well that and her second chance…

Second Chances
