A/N: So here's the new chapter! It is also the first Al chapter. I still couldn't figure out where to take this story, but I knew I couldn't leave people hanging. This is a Pezberry story, but who knows...

Rachel's POV
Rachel smiled looking at letter. She felt bad about the way Santana was feeling, but was happy Santana liked her back, and wanted to give them another chance. She turned her head smiling, and when she did she glance at the clock. Doing a double take when she saw the time: 5:46 AM. Shit.

What am I going to do? What if she's already left? I have to go find her. Brittany!
"Hey Brittany! Please tell me you know where Sant-" Rachel started as she was exiting her room, only to find that Brittany was gone.
"She just left. Something about Santana and the airport." Sam said as he stretched out on the floor.
"Oh my gosh! I have to go to the airport!"
"Airport?! What about the reviews?" Tina asked Rachel as she watched her father her things.
"I don't care! I let the play get in between us once already, I can't do it again." Rachel said as she grabbed her keys and left the loft.
Kurt smiled and pulled out his phone to send a text.

No One's POV
Brittany ran to the hotel, trying to talk Santana out of leaving. When she wasn't there she calls for a taxi to take her to the airport. She runs through the airport trying to find Santana. Luckily for her, she hadn't been through TSA yet. When she finally catches up to her, she doubles over heaving.
"Brittany! What is going on? Are you okay?"
Brittany rushes to catch her breath. "You can't...Rachel...help."
"What? What's wrong with Rachel? Is she okay?"
"She's fine, but you can't leave San."
"Brittany, I have to. I left her the note, she didn't call, so it's time for me to move on."
"Note? What note?" Brittany asks fully in control of her breathing.
"I left her a note telling her how I feel. I asked her to call me last night if she felt the same, and if I didn't get the call I would leave. So, I'm leaving." Santana said hurt thinking about what's she has lost due to her being stubborn.
"San, you can't hold her to that, we went to a club last night!"
"Yeah, well I sent her those flowers through her dads, and I know she spoke with them, and even if she didn't see the note, she would be here not you.." Santana started to get upset. She felt like Rachel didn't care at all. While she was in the hotel room crying, Rachel had been out partying. Maybe Pezberry wasn't meant to be. "Look Britt, I have to go. I'll miss my flight."
"Santana." Brittany tries to reason with her, but Santana walks through the detectors and off to her gate.
"Ugh!" Brittany turns around and heads outside to call a taxi. She gets a text message and smiles. While waiting for the cab to pull up to her, she notices that someone appears to be getting out. "Rachel."
"Brittany! Has she left yet?" Rachel asked getting out of the cab.
"What..What are you doing here? Shouldnt you be at the news stand with the gang?" Brittany asked deciding to seem surprised.
"I was wrong Brittany. I thought game was what I wanted, but I could care less about what the reviews will say. I just want Santana."
"You're too late. She's already went through TSA."
"But she hasn't boarded yet right?" Rachel asked hopeful.
"No, but you can't get through without a ticket, and it's the holidays. All tickets are either sold out, or cost over $800 dollars one way."
"Brittany! I can't lose her again." Rachel told her. "I'll do whatever it takes to get her back."
"Good Luck. She has gate 38. It's all the way in the back, and her plane is supposed to take off any minute." Brittany smiled as she saw Rachel running off. Santana flight doesn't board for another half-hour, meaning Rachel had plenty of time considering Santana was in group C. She just wanted to see if Rachel had really changed. Now that she knows how far Rachel will go to catch her, she knows Santana and Rachel will work out. She shoots Kurt a message telling him to get the gang up here, and to buy a newspaper.
She heads to check-in to explain the situation to the clerk, hoping they'll allow them back to support their friends.

Rachel runs through the airport trying to teach gate 38. When she finally reached the gate, she looks around for Santana. When she doesn't see her, she runs to the window, and spots a plane taking off. "I was too late." Rachel sits down in a chair looking out the window.
"Rachel?"
She hears her name, and looks at the person who called her through the window. When she recognizes the voice and figure she turns around fast, rushing towards them.
"Oh my gosh! I thought I missed your flight!"
"My flight hasn't boarded yet."
"What? Brittany-" Rachel looked at Santana and decided to just be happy she's here. "Nevermind. I'm just glad youre here."
"Yeah. What are you doing here?" Santana asks moving closer towards Rachel after realizing they were attracting a crowd.
"...I..." Rachel sighs. "I thought that all I needed in life was to make to Broadway. So that's what I strived for, knocking over anything or anyone in my way. I never realized it until it was you that I knocked over. Wait hold on that came out wrong...I'm not saying you were in my way, I want to make sure you know that, what I'm saying is-" Rachel started to ramble, so Santana cut her off.
"Rae, calm down and breathe."
When Rachel heard Santana's nickname for her she smiled. "I want you Santana. I don't care about the game or the critics, I only care about you. It took me a minute to realize that you were all I need, but I know now, and I guess what I am trying to say is... Santana will you please take me back, and be my girlfriend again?" Rachel asked looking hopeful.
The entire time Rachel was talking, Santana was thinking about how the past Rachel wouldn't even be here at the airport. Especially not the morning after opening night, the morning where the review that will make or break her is coming out. Wait-What time is it? Santana looks at her phone, and notices that it's 6:07. It takes ten minutes to get to the airport from the loft. She couldn't have stopped to check the newspaper first. She really is choosing her.
When Santana didn't speak right away, Rachel began to accept defeat. "Look, I know I was wrong and I apologise. I should have realized that you would never do anything to hurt me. I should have been a supporting girlfriend instead of assuming you were out to get me. I understand if you no longer want to be with me. I took to long to realize what I had, and I don't blame you for getting tired of waiting. Thank you Santana for showing me that I can fall in love again. I won't bother you again." Rachel started to walk away, but before she could get far, Santana started to talk.
"Are you really gonna walk away before I can answer?"
"I'm sorry, I just assumed that-"
"There you go assuming again. Didn't you just say you weren't going to do that again?" Santana interrupted.
"Yes ma'am, I'll shut up now." Rachel said making a zipped lips motion.
Santana smiles and walks towards Rachel. She looks at her as I'd reading her, and Rachel tries to express everything that she is feeling in her eyes. Santana looks away, and Rachel prepares herself for the worst.
"If this is going to work, we have to communicate more."
As soon as those words left Santana's mouth Rachel was beaming.
"We have to work as a team..." Santana continued. Rachel just nodded to everything Santana continued telling her excited that she was getting another chance. "You hurt me..." Rachel's smile dropped and she frowned stepping closer to Santana.
"I promise you Santana, I will make it up to you everyday for as long as you'll have me."
Santana smiles and leans in. Rachel meets her the rest of the way and they kiss passionately.
Cheers erupt and they break apart to see their friends standing their with posters and with napkins wiping at their tears. They laugh and bring everyone in for a group hug. Rachel was happy, and vowed to herself that she would prove to Santana that she can be what she needs.
