Summary: Lelouch and C2 act by a different code than most.

A/N: This is my first Code Geass fic, but definitely not my first fanfic. I just finished watching the Code Geass series and must write a story. I'm calling her C2, because that's what she's called in the English dub I watched, and "CC" or anything else doesn't sound right to me. Also, let's say this occurs sometime between the first and second seasons of "R2".

Key: Thoughts...

Lelouch didn't typically ask C2 how she felt. Their "relationship", if it could be called that, was not composed of affection.

Accomplices...

He mentally reasoned. Sitting on his bed, she appeared to be deep in thought, but the glistening in her eyes caught his attention.

As usual it was as if she read his mind, thus turning to face him. "Lelouch, I didn't hear you come in, did the meeting go well?". He simply nodded, crossing the room- his bedroom.

It's not really mine anymore though, is it?...

He chuckled briefly, sitting on his bed. Removing black sneakers, he decided to ask. Whether from amusement or not he was unsure.

"C2?"

She turned to face him.

"Are you alright?" he asked. Her eyes became downcast, though only for a few seconds.

Quickly she caught herself and returned to her usual sarcastic demeanor, mentioning with a smirk, "Lelouch don't tell me you've actually begun to care about anyone but yourself".

He growled, not beaten. Slowly shaking his head he stated, "C2 you are far easier to read than you think."

"Is that so?" she questioned, face not reflecting her bemusement for the glimmer remained.

"It is", violet eyes challenged immortal golden orbs.

Swiftly she turned her body toward him green locks flying through the air, along with a droplet of water which strayed from her face. Now sitting on his lap, she peered directly into glaring plums.

I will not be defeated...

With one hand he shoved her off of her seating place, onto the mattress.

Crashing to the invention she thought of how she was alive when it was created and had never laid upon one more comfortable.

As she landed, he noticed several more tears fall into the air and splash onto the azure blanket.

Memory of the flashes of her tortured past he unintentionally saw ran through his mind.

Humans are fools...

Suddenly he forced his lips against hers, surprising them both. Moments later they parted.

His face barely inches away from hers she quietly concluded "You win".

Of course...

Hurriedly her lips closed the distance.

Tears dissipated, the remnants drying on her pale face as both realized why they worked so well together. These accomplices lived by another code, one no other could comprehend.
