The end has arrived and I'm so glad that we made it. It was a long road, but it was worth it. Thanks for the reviews from last time and I'm glad everyone liked how it ended. Different from the game I know, but it was still worth it. Will there be an Arkham City story?
Yes, but the details will be explained at the end on what will happen. I also want to thank my friend for his help on the story. I appreciate it and I will be looking forward to the sequel. When I have time on it though since I'm focusing on my other stories.
So again, the sequel will happen, but it will take time, and the details will be explained at the end. I don't own anything from the DC universe just my OC.
Details on a future sequel will be explained in the next chapter. For now though let's just stick with this and one more. I don't own anything from the DC universe just my OC and I won't be adding a lot of stuff from Arkham. Okay, it's time for the last chapter to begin, and enjoy everyone.
"Dad!" Thank God. I was so worried," said Barbara relieved that her father is okay.
"I'm fine, Barbara. The GCPD finally has control of the Asylum," said Gordon reassuring his daughter everything is okay. "Doctors are treating the injured, but looks like it will take some time. All super criminals are back in custody. Quite a mess in there. And the Venom-enhanced inmates are returning to normal, though or some the process can be quite painful."
"And dad, how are you doing?" she asked.
"I'll survive. See you tonight, Barbara," Gordon walks over to Ryan, who sees his wife being put in the back of an ambulance. "I would think you would be in the back of that vehicle going with her."
"I am," Ryan replied. "I just wanted to tell you something first."
"Later," said Gordon. "Go be with your wife and children. You deserve it."
Ryan looks over at his wife and nods. "Thanks Jim, and take care."
He walks towards the ambulance and rides along with his wife. As soon as they left Batman approaches Gordon, holding his injured arm.
"You going to tell him?" Batman asked.
"No," Gordon replied. "I'll wait for him to tell me. I don't want him to know that I knew about who he was thanks to you."
"I wanted to see if you could trust him to work with you if you knew about his past," said Batman recalling how he gave Gordon, Ryan's files. "I'm glad to see you made the right call."
"Thanks, and thanks for your help tonight," said Gordon. "Shame about your car. Can I give you a ride?"
"Thanks, Jim, but I have one on the way," said Batman as he looks over and sees Michael helping the police with the prison. "He did good Jim. You should be proud that Barbara has someone like him."
Gordon looks over to see the rookie and smiles. "I am, get some rest. Get some rest. You deserved it."
They then hear on the radio that Harvey Dent aka, Two-Face is loose on the city. He is attacking the bank of Gotham and they request backup.
"Stay safe, Jim," said Batman as he uses disappears before Gordon can see where he went.
He then sees what appears to be a Jet plane flying past him as it heads into the city.
The next day, Ryan is sitting next to his wife's hospital bed after the long night they both had. The doctors told them that Penelope is okay, but is going to need to take it easy for a few weeks, especially now that she is pregnant.
She doesn't have to worry about that anyways. She is no longer going to work in any prison that involves any crazy intimates and will get a job as a normal shrink.
Meanwhile, Ryan told Gordon everything about his past and what his wife did. They both told him, but thanks to the information he got from the Batman, she wasn't charged.
However, she is going to have to hand over all the information she had about the Titan formula and Ryan would have to answer to a government official that would be paying him a visit. In the end they got off Scott free, but they still need to think about what they are going to do now.
Penelope knows if they stay in Gotham then Joker or the other criminals Penelope crossed will come after them. They couldn't stay in the city, not if it means putting the kids on the line.
"What are we going to do?" she asked worried about someone coming for them and their children.
"I don't know," said Ryan as he holds her hand. "We'll find a way around this though. Like we always do."
"I hope your right," she replied as they hear a door knocking. They look over and see a woman entering the room. "Can we help you?"
"Hello Ryan," said the woman. "It's been a while."
"Amanda Waller," said Ryan with a small hint of anger in his tone. "What are you doing here?"
"I'm here on orders," she replied. "I heard you two helped make a mess last night at Arkham. I also heard Gordon knows about your past Ryan, that's not good either."
"How do you figure?" Ryan asked.
"Because if he knows and so does Joker, it's only a matter of time before old enemies of yours come looking for you," she replied knowing the kinds of enemies that would want Ryan dead. "That is why I'm here, to help solve that problem."
"How?" Penelope asked wondering what this woman will do for them.
She hands Ryan a file as he looks inside. "It says here if I agree to work for you for a year then you would make sure my enemies stay away from my family. You blackmailing me?"
"No," Waller replied. "I'm giving you a chance to put your skills again to some use and protect your family from any danger. Let's just say the Arkham incident might only be the beginning of what's to come."
"What do you mean?" Penelope asked concerned by what the woman means.
"I have some sources telling me something is going to happen. I need the best to stop this, I need your help Ryan," Waller explains. "If you help, then your family stays safe."
Ryan turns towards his wife, unsure about all of this. She knew they didn't have much of a choice. She nods her head and Ryan turns back to Waller. He takes out a pen and signs the paper.
"If they die Waller, I will kill you."
"I know," said Waller as she leaves the room.
As soon as she left, Ryan sits down next to his wife. "You sure about me going back out there?"
Penelope nods. "If it's the only way to protect our family, then yes."
Does this mean Killshot is coming back? Will he appear in Arkham City? Obviously. Does Amanda Waller know what is going to happen?
So she was told. Will Michael return, maybe as a new Robin or hero? Maybe, but of course you know there is only one way to find out. You'll need to wait for the sequel to find out.
Also, here is some details of the sequel. Obviously we will see some of the stuff like from the game, only different outcomes. Ryan and Michael will return, but things will be different for both men. And Joker will return, but with a vengeance.
I want to thank all of you guys for the reviews and support. You guys are awesome and I'm glad you like how the story began and hopefully you will like the ending. If you like this then leave some reviews, if you didn't then don't leave a flame reviews. Take care everyone, be safe, and thanks for everything!
