Rumple went on to explain his plan for the pair. He explained how after the ceremony the evil queen should turn up and threaten everyone with a horrible fate that would 'destroy they're happiness'; well that's what rumple had told her anyway. He may have left out the small part about finding his son and snow white and prince Charming's daughter, let's call her the saviour, would one day come back and break the curse, giving back all the happy endings. But y'know, minor details. And that he needed Emma and Neal to keep an eye on the newly weds to make sure everything runs a smoothly as possible as he couldn't quite be there himself. Emma argued the fact that her parents would recognise her in the future, however rumple of course had a solution for that, with one flick of his scaly little hands and Emma and Neal were completely unrecognizable to anyone but each other. Rumple then decided that maybe their attire wasn't quite up to wedding standards and magiced them up some lovely new garments. Emma had on a simple very pale blue gown while Neal had the custom male attire; white shirt and long fitted coat, with a tail of course. He then sent them on their way while he was left with the thrilling task of finding a way to get them home.
Emma and Neal arrive at her parent's castle a little before the wedding was due to being. They made there way to the main doors in which they would have to hand over their invitations.
"Wow this place is pretty fancy." Emma said taking in the large but simple decorations of the palace. There were two large men at the doors dressed in white with gold and red sashes; they held out golden plates in which other guest were placing invitations on.
"I guess we just do what they do." Neal motioned to the people in front of them; extending his arm to link with Emma's. The pair entered the room, Neal placed the invitation on the try and they began to move with the other guests; in order to find a good place to stand, so that they could see the ceremony but also keep an eye on the doors for Regina's arrival.
"This is so strange" Emma whispered to Neal, their arms still linked.
"Hmm? What is?" Neal question quietly; looking around the room.
"I dunno, maybe the fact that I'm watching my parents get married." Neal was just about to make a sarcastic reply about back to the future when music started playing; indicating that the bride was about to enter and the ceremony was to begin.
Throughout the majority of the ceremony Emma's eyes were glued to her parents. She could see from a single glance, how in love there pair were. She was close to tears form the start. Neal on the other hand found it hard to concentrate on the wedding, his eyes constantly wondered back to Emma. He didn't think he would ever see this girl again. The one with eyes full of hope, she looked so sad and vulnerable, yet happy and confident. It was as if by magic- no love –she was once again that lost 18 year old girl who stole his Yellow bug. His cheeks began to hurt form smiling but he didn't care because the longer he looked, the more he realised, she wasn't that little lost girl anymore; she was the savoir, the mother of his son, a woman who had finally found her home. And even if it was the last thing he would do, he was going to get her back to it. Neal was pulled out of his thoughts by the slamming of doors.
"Is that Regina?" Emma asked turning to face Neal.
"No, That's the Evil Queen." He responded no taking his eyes off the Queen. Emma and Neal stood and watched as Regina threatened Snow and Charming, Just as Rumple said she would. Everything happened just as he said it would. Neal was beginning to think that there was no need for them to be there at all and began to grow suspicious of his father. However he didn't let it play on his mind for too long, as after the Evil queen had made her dramatic exit and Snow and Charming had finally made it back into the ball room, music began and it was time for a celebration.
"Come on we should probably get back." Emma said heading towards the door.
"What before we even got a chance to dance" Neal joked then turned and looked at the couples dancing. Emma gave him a blunt look.
"Ha Ha" She said sarcastically and carried on in her mission to the door. Neal grabbed Emma's hand before she could move any further.
"Oh come on, just one dance. It wont hurt" He pleaded, with puppy dog eyes.
"Seriously?" Emma asked looking over his shoulder to see the other guests dancing.
"Come on, How many chancing to you get to do this?" She looked back at him and then to the dancers. She didn't know why but she found herself saying yes. He was right, how many opportunities do you get to dance in ballroom, dressed as a princess, at your parents wedding. And the company wasn't too bad either.
As they began their dance Emma found herself looking around the room trying to copy what everyone else was doing. Shoulders back, arms up. One two step and turn- wait no- damn it. However her concentration was broken when she heard a small amount of giggling. She looked up to Neal with a smile from ear to ear.
"Hey no making fun" She scolded.
"I'm not, I swear" He protested "its just I don't think I've ever seen that much concentration on your face"
"Shut up." She quickly replied "And hey when did you get see good at ballroom dancing?"
"I'm not just a common thief you know, I have my talents" He responded with a mocking smile. Emma laughed, she didn't think she had had this much fun in a long time. The two carried on with their dance, talking about the wedding and what they were going to do when they go home, but mostly on how they were going to explain this whirlwind of a story. The song came to an end and they decided it was probably time to return to the dark ones castle, with hope of being back in there own time very shortly.
