"So Oliver kissed you when you were drunk?" Gene was a little upset now.

Yasu stopped just outside the door, having heard nothing but that last exclamation. He had come to hurry them, but this seemed really interesting.

"It's not his fault" Mai needed to defend him. She admitted that she loved him, so if course he would think that it was ok. "I was the one that instigated it"

Yasu poked his head through the door. The look on Mai's face made it completely worth it. She looked like she wanted to sink into the floor.

Mai sighed, chugging the coffee Yasu had gotten her from the cafe downstairs. "Breathe Mai!" he teased, sipping at his own.

"So let me get this right, you said I would go with Gene to an amusement park?" Mai asked, leaning on her desk and giving Naru the stink-eye.

"No I said that if he wanted to ask you, that wouldn't bother me" Naru corrected, rubbing his temples.

"Why wouldn't that bother you?" She asked, trying not to sound offended.

"Because he is my brother and you already chose me" Naru smirked, not trying to out her for saying she loved him just this second.

"Oh you mean you just trust us" Mai smiled, and put down her coffee. Her eyes glittering. "Why didn't you just say that?"

"I thought it was obvious. I know you Mai, you are the very honest type" Naru stood to stand besides her, and Mai blushed. "And also I can read my brothers mind"

"I can read yours too!" Gene assured, putting two fingers to his temple and closing his eyes. Always the dramatic twin. "I see that you want me and Yasu to leave" He says in a dramatic singsong voice.

"Well that is very rude Naru" Yasu grins. "Well come on Gene, lets go out for lunch! Mai don't get pregnant while we are away!"

Mai blushed the darkest shade of red. "SHUT UP!" She yelled, barely refraining from throwing something at him.

"Don't wait up" Naru replied with a smirk, and Mai felt like she was going to faint.

Mai still had work to do, considering how unproductive they had all been that morning, so had opted out for going to lunch. Instead Lin went to get them all sushi from a place not too far.

"Thanks for agreeing to stay in here with me" Mai smiled, not looking up from her monitor as she typed away. Naru walked up to her, kissed her on the forehead. Mai blushed, and Naru put his hand to her chin, tilting it up to face him. He lent in for a kiss, and Mai felt herself leaning in as well... Then she shot up out of her seat and took a step back. She was blushing.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to-"

"No no no, it's not that!" Mai blushed, feeling horrible. "It's- well- I just chugged a lot of coffee and-"

Naru's arm found her waist and he pulled her in. Kissing her before she could finish her sentence. "I like coffee"

Mai felt herself burning up. The look in his eyes was so intoxicating, and that drunken haze from yesterday came flooding back. She wanted so much more then just kissing...

Mai lent in again, and just before their lips met, Lin walked in. Naru sighed and let go of Mai, who promptly plopped herself back down at her desk, praying that Lin did not see what he obviously saw.

"Sorry, if you wanted more time you should have sent me further" Lin chuckled darkly. Naru for his credit did not look too embarrassed, but Mai noticed his hand clenching. He did that when he was upset, but he often pretended he was upset to cover up being embarrassed.

"Noted" Naru muttered dryly, taking the food as it was handed to him.

"I think I will make some tea" Mai suggested, the words rushing from her mouth.

Yasu and Gene came back a little while later, looking none too happy. Mai tried to ask Yasu quietly why he looked so upset but he just muttered something about Gene being a jerk and stomped off to do some work.

For the rest of the afternoon, Mai made it a point to be super nice to both of them, making them loads of tea and subtly prodding about why they both seemed so salty. The most she got out of them was cold insults directed at the other.

As the end of the day trickled near, Mai grew increasingly impatient. The snide remarks were growing more frequent and colder, until Mai was sure one of them might leave in tears.

"OK I have had it with both of you!" Mai exclaimed, dragging Yasu by the arm and pushing him to the sofa, before doing the same with Gene. "If you are not going to tell me why you are fighting like children, then fine! But you had better get over it before this weekend because we-" Mai gestured to herself, Naru, Gene and Yasu. "Are going on a double date!"

The room was silent...

"Is that the best idea you could come up with?" Lin asked, smiling at the girls antics and silently happy he was not being made to attend too.

"It will have to do!" Mai shot back, before looking at the two bemused boys sitting on the sofa. "We are going to the amusement park!"

Mai's plan had one small hiccup. "Our first date is with Yasu and Gene?"

"Please!" Mai pouted. It had taken ten minutes to convince the boys to show up and be civil. "I really want you there"

"But they are fighting Mai, it is going to be such a pain" Naru didn't actually say no. He just wanted her to think this through.

"But they are our friends and your brother! We need to help them make up" Somehow Mai's eyes had gotten bigger and more adorable. Why was she already so good at getting her way.

"If I agree to come you have to make it up to me" Naru smiled and Mai's heart melted.

"How?" Mai sounded a tad suspicious.

"I get to take you out on a real date. Just the two of us. As a couple" Naru suggested, and Mai smiled.

"Sounds perfect"
