Hendon Myre
As G.S.D. slowly made into the grand city gates of Hendon Myre. As he entered, the sound of chatter of other adventurers, male and female. Knowing that the sounds will slowly fade, as he knew the sun would be creeping to an end soon, just by feeling the suns rays slowly dissipating off his bare bronze shoulders. In his arms still remained the unconscious form of Drakkon.
Knowing the boy would be waking shortly, his pace quicken to the location of Loton, The Alchemist. From there he could get the arm-lets that would help seal the demon of kazan in this boy's arm.
Pushing his way through the dwindling crowd of the main street, avoiding the heckling from merchants who were trying to sell wares before the sun finally set. While passing through, he heard the crying of another adventurer. "It.. Broke.." Was all G.S.D. heard while he passed, knowing it couldn't be anything else except a certain Gunner's machine for reinforcement. In a moment as he passed, a woman's voice could be heard behind him. "G.S.D.? What ar..." Was all he heard while he continued to move.
As he continued to walk, he heard the sound of young adventurers being scolded by a stern but calm voice. "Let this example be why you should always party up and work together as a team. No one should go alone." the voice said. "Yes Master Pungjin!" was all that the chorus of voices said in return.
Soon, G.S.D.'s nose was infiltrated by a foul stench, hearing multiple people around him complain. "What is this foul odor!?" a young woman said as she walked in the opposite direction of the smell. 'Must be Loton working on his next.. Experiment.' G.S.D. thought to himself as he braced his body and nose for what to expect when he enters the building of the Alchemist guild in Hendon Myre.
As G.S.D. entered a little bell rung before him. "I'll be right out. Just give me a moment!" a faint voice said, sounding as if it was behind a wall. G.S.D. then placed the boy on the counter, and patiently waited for Loton to appear before him.
"Alright, now how may I help yo... G.S.D.? What is..? Why is there a child on my counter?" the surprised voice of Loton, who was stunned not only by G.S.D. being in his shop, but there was a child on the counter that was unconscious as well, as he entered from a small door from behind the counter.
"He's got the curse of Kazan. The shackles he has are weak and he needs a replacement, since these are partially cracked." G.S.D. said, turning towards the head alchemist as he spoke.
"I see." was all Loton said. "I should have a set in the back, please bring him to me in my lab." he spoke, as he turned towards that door that he came out of. "Also.. Mind the smell. I had some adventurers bring me some zombie remains from Shadow Thunderland for research." Loton said as he passed through the door.
"It is foul." Was all G.S.D. said as he followed the alchemist into the back room, which the odor was even worse then before. Surprised that the boy hasn't awoke from the stench yet is truly amazing to G.S.D. as well. As he continued his walk, the sound of bubbling could be made from the various objects being heated for testing. This was not something G.S.D. took as an interest but accepted Loton's work, as him being an alchemist, and the best there is in the Bel Myre Principle.
The sounds of rummaging in something could be heard in front of G.S.D as Loton searched a massive wooded trunk for his latest creation. "I know they're in here. I finally perfected the design so these should be great for him, especially at that young of an age." spoke Loton, as he continued to search. "With all the arrivals of the Demon Knights, at young ages, this had to be created for security reasons." Loton spoke as he continued to search.
Finally after about 10-15 minutes later, a sound of joy was heard in the laboratory. "Perfect! I found them." Loton happily said aloud, knowing the shackles were in the trunk but buried under all the items he accumulated from various adventurers he had search for items on their travels. "They appear as the normal arm-lets for the knight, except they are designed to be worn from a young age to adulthood. Purely adjustable through all stages of life. They're enchanted from Sharan as well." Spoke Loton.
"These should do well Loton, we should apply them quickly while he is out. I don't know how much longer he will be. The quicker the better, for the population of Hendon Myre. Last thing we need is another incident like what happened a few months ago. The city is still shaken from it." G.S.D. calmly stated to the observing alchemist. Still holding the boy in his right arm.
"Indeed, let's place him down here." Loton grabbed the boy from G.S.D. and placed him onto a table. "Now, just to inform you, we need to put this one on before we can remove the other, so it will be rapid that Kazan will spread from just above his elbow to just under the shoulder, which is where the new one will rest." Loton spoke in a lightly panicked voice. Not knowing if this boy's influence is stronger then those who seeked these before. Quickly Loton applied the shackles quickly and snapped them into their locked position, before moving his hands down to the cracked ones. His hands quickly undone the brackets binding them together, just as rapidly the curse rushed into the unaffected arm, causing the child to instantly wake up and cry out in intense pain, while he tried to reach for his arm, G.S.D. reached for the moving arm and grasped it tightly, preventing it from being moved.
" RELEASE ME!" Screamed from the boy in a demonic tone. Startling Loton for a moment as his hands released from the wrist shackle, then he quickly replaced his hands onto it and latched the seal closed. Sealing the demon's presence completely into the space between the shackles. The boys face twisted in despair as pain rippled through his body, as the rest of his arm up to the shackle turned a deep blood red.
"It's done and hopefully this will be end of the line for his curse." Murmured Loton as he wiped a bit of sweat from his forehead and cleaned his glasses with a cloth he produced from his lab coat.
"We will see about that, he needs more training to control his urges, since the seal is only as strong as it can be, the rest needs to be decided from his will power to reject Kazan's taunting desires of death and destruction. Many have withheld, but some have fallen and can't be redeemed from the call of his unimaginable power." Spoke G.S.D. as his senses peered over the boy, who was fully awake but still suffering from the intense paid which just poured through him from Kazan's grasp reaching higher into his arm. "If he does not control this, he will surely die, be it from himself or others who pursue to end his life for the betterment of the continent." He finished with.
"Very true indeed G.S.D., though I hope what ever you have planned for him will keep this at bay long enough for him to ignore those whispers." Loton spoke calmly, but kept his eyes trained on the boy who was slowly starting to breath normal again, as it appeared the pain is slowly subsiding from his arm.
"I thank you for the assistance Loton, though we must be going considering this is now between me and this boy. Though I can only show him so much, the rest will be onto him from that day forward." G.S.D. spoke as he grabbed the boy and set him to the floor onto his feet. "We must leave now young one, we've much to do and I can only hope that this increases your desire for a cure, or a way to overcome this challenge." He spoke, peering towards the child.
"Y..yes sir.. G.S.D." Was all Drakkon said as he gripped his left arm with his right hand, feeling the new section that Kazan took over when the new shackle was placed. His skin throbbed against his touch, feeling the demon attempting to reach out to his right hand, as he quickly jerked his right hand back to his side.
"Let's go." Was all G.S.D. said as he motioned for both of them to walk towards the exit of the lab and to the front of the store, where their exit will be waiting for them to pass through.
Drakkon only peered towards the older man and nodded in agreement as they both walked towards the fading sounds of the city outside.
I sincerely apologize for this wait, I know this has been a while since the last update, and I can't say when the next one would arrive. I'm just as sad as you all are for this long wait.
