21Chapter 28 Fourth Mermaid Princess
Shopping District
After school the mermaids and the twins headed towards the shopping district to buy some goods along the way they came across a lottery. Each of them takes turns and won prices and now its Lucia's turn, the latter crosses her fingers as she watches the lottery wheel spinning hoping she got first price.
When the wheel stops, one of the staffs get the number from the wheel and said, "Congratulations you won free tickets to southern island!…."
Hearing that Lucia jumps in joy while shouting, "Yeah!.. I did it!….." overwhelm with happiness that she won the price that she wanted.
"Way to go, Lucia-san!…" Daylix first to congratulate and beside her Hanon was amaze, "To think she got first prize…."
"I guess luck is in her side…" Xylon smiles wryly, "Compare to us…." gestured the prices they won, he got box filled with pencils, his twin sister got a plush toy, Hanon got a new hat, and finally Rina only got a pack of bread.
"Plasma TV….." Rina muttered in a depressing tone while Lucia feeling delighted, 'With this I can go to Kaito…'
Southern Island- Airport
The next day the mermaid princesses, then twin nobodies, and Hippo arrived to their destination southern island. As they came out of the entrance of the airport, "I came to the southern island that Kaito will be staying at!" Lucia shouted in joy while dancing.
Seeing how happy she is, "Who would've thought we'd win first prize at the lottery in our shopping district…" Hanon was astonished, "…and get tickets to come to the same southern island that Kaito's national surfing contest is at?" she still couldn't believe it yesterday after school Lucia won tickets so she could go to the surfing contest where Kaito is competing.
"Things are looking up for you, Lucia-san…" Daylix happily commented.
"Yeah!..." Lucia still smiling in joy, "I'm sure my feelings for Kaito reached Aqua Regina-sama!"
While Lucia was happy about it but Rina still dispirited about it yesterday, "I wish we'd have won the blue plasma-screen TV instead…." still regretting that she didn't won the TV yesterday.
"Come one lighten up, Rina-san…." Xylon cheering her up, "Maybe next time you will but right now we should enjoy ourselves here!…."
All of them agreed to his words right now they should enjoy themselves while their still here on the island.
Gaito's castle
Lexia was walking towards the main throne room where Noel and Coco were being held when she heard voices and thought, 'Hmm, I wonder what those four are up to now…'
She got closer and then she heard Eriru say, "Why do we keep losing to those Mermaid Princesses?" Lexia raised an eyebrow as both Izuru and Maria thought about it. That's when Eriru said, "It's because…their allies always arrive afterwards and save them from us, especially that guy called Serix and his two midget friends!"
"…You're right about that…" Izuru pondered. Eriru explained, "There are three Mermaid Princesses, and four of us. If we just organize all our powers, the Mermaid Princesses won't even be a challenge for us!"
"You have a point there, but what about the other three. I know firsthand that Serix is tough. Even if we manage to trap the Mermaid Princesses, he'll just come along and beat us when our backs are turned." Maria said still recalling her experience fighting Serix especially the latter simply toying her.
"Hmm, how do we deal with him and his two friends then?" Izuru asked. Eriru suggested, "Maybe we can gang up on him when he lowers his guard?"
"But we don't even know where he is." Maria said. That's when Lexia said, "Maybe I can help you out there Dark Lovers…"
Izuru, Eriru, and Maria jumped at the sound of Lexia's voice, while Yuri was still too preoccupied with thoughts of Hippo to notice. Lexia walked up to them and said, "I can keep those three preoccupied after all I know them very well while you three handle the Mermaid Princesses."
Izuru and Eriru seemed a bit distrustful of Lexia, but Maria assured them, "Don't worry you two, if Lexia-san helps us, it will make capturing the Mermaid Princesses much easier."
"…If you say so." Both Izuru and Eriru said. Lexia nodded and she reached for her hood and took it off, revealing her face to them saying, "Don't worry, you girls can trust me on this one."
Lexia gave them a smile and they seemed to ease up. Then Izuru shouted, "Hey Yuri, stop daydreaming and get over here! We need to start laying out our plan for the Mermaid Princesses!"
Yuri snapped out of her daydreams and put the handkerchief into one of her pockets as she said, "Sorry, I'm coming!"
As they talked about their plans, Lexia thought to herself, 'It's too bad that these girls can't fully control powerful Heartless. I heard from Gaito that he's bringing in some more 'help', so I wonder if the newcomers will be able to…' smiled in delight that their more pawns for her to use as she stares at the dark lovers in thought, 'I amaze that they're still alive until now with their heads still attach… To think that Serix will be this lenient….'
Southern Island – hotel
From the airport, all of them headed to the hotel. When they entered, "As expected of a southern resort! So many girls in swimsuits!" Hippo complimenting in delighted to see women in swimsuits inside the hotel when they entered.
"You sound like a perverted old man…" Daylix commented Hippo's speech and mannerism which is similar to an old man.
"Geez, Hippo! You're so perverted!" Lucia scolded him while Hanon added, "If you keep going on like that, I'll tell Yuri!"
"Hanon-san, anything but that!" The penguin starts begging that he's sorry then Xylon with a mischievous smile, "Hey Yuri, Hippo is flirting with other girls!…." The young nobody shouted at the entrance.
"Ah! Yuri-san I'm sorry!…" Hippo reacted as he immediately went at the entrance prostrates while saying sorry but when he look up,"Huh?" he only saw a family of four giving him an odd look.
"Just kidding…" Xylon sticking out his tongue in a cutesy manner, "She's not here…" causing Daylix and the others to laugh at the prank.
"Yo, Lucia-chan!"
The laughs stop as they heard someone calling Lucia's name. As they turn to their left they saw a dirty blonde teen boy holding a purple surfboard waving his arm to get their attention while, "It's been a while! Has it been three months already since that surfing competition?" he winks after finishing his sentence in a flirty manner.
"Ah!" Lucia instantly remembers him then Hanon said, "Huh? Oh yeah, he's the one who ate Lucia's bento all on his own." also remembers which was a terrible event for Lucia's part, "Was it Sakiya-kun?"she recalled his name but instantly shove aside by him.
"Lucia-chan, you're the same as ever, attractive and cute!" Sakiya began flirting Lucia.
As Daylix helping Hanon up, Xylon staring at the teen keenly while asking, "Who's this guy?..." asking Rina beside him, "He's Sakiya and…" Rina give him the clear details about what happened between Lucia and Sakiya.
Sakiya ignoring the Lucia's friends only focus on the girl he likes, "Could it be that you came all the way here to cheer for me?"said with a smile.
"No, no! That's not why!" Lucia tried to denied but Sakiya interject, "That's it! If I win, in exchange for your bento before, I'll treat you to a meal."
"Eh? Really?" Lucia's brighten up along the felt of relief but, "In exchange, you'll have to give me a kiss to celebrate my victory." He said with a smile and wink in a flirty tone.
"Eh?! Th-That would be troublesome!" Lucia tried to reject his proposal but, "You don't have to restrain yourself. It's fine." Sakiya's over-conceited attitude ignorant that he'll take no for an answer.
"I'm not restraining myself!" Lucia yelled in denial.
Despite her protest, Sakiya simply went pass that by heading back to his room while saying, "See you later, Lucia-chan. I'll be looking forward to it!" with that said ignorant of Lucia's consent.
"Umm, hold on, Sakiya-kun!" Lucia tried say but he's already going further away with his mind filled with excitement.
Seeing how unfolds, "Oh, my. He really decided that all by himself without your consent." Hippo commented.
"He's quite confident about himself…."
"More like overconfident…."
Twins also commented while evaluating Sakiya, from their perspective he is is confident and over-conceited about himself and deciding things without permission.
"Hey, Lucia, do you plan on going through with that promise?" Hanon speaks up, "O-Of course not!" causing Lucia to shout in denial
"Then you should go clear things up with him, Lucia-san!…." Daylix said in a scolding tone towards the pink mermaid causing to ran after Sakiya to clear things up with him.
Serix was sitting on the balcony of his hotel room, relaxing on his seat. One might ask why he was here in the first place. Well it happened while working, he had been thinking about exploring more about the world he's currently residing. He already explored the land he's in and now wants to explore other places but due to his job he couldn't.
That's' when Maki came in and gave him a vacation pass to a hotel on one of Japan's southern islands as thanking him for working overtime. Seeing that vacation pass, Serix immediately took it as an opportunity to explore new places.
Now Serix was on a southern island near the end of the summer season. He had arrived a few days ago and had spent the days trying to relax and meditate from time to time, as well as enjoy the sights. He was always been adventurous wanting to know more of the place which was designated as his vacation spot.
Feeling a bit jumpy, Serix got out of his seat and headed for the lobby. As he walked by the halls he heard that there was a national surfing competition taking place, which made him think, 'Hmm, I wonder if Kaito's going to be here?'
When he was about to reached the stairs, he saw Kaito heading his direction, "Fancy meeting you here, Kaito." he greeted as Kaito walks up to him holding his surfboard, seeing that he said, "I see that you're here for the competition."
As Kaito walked up to him and said, "So this is where you ended up Reis. When Maki-san said you took a vacation, I didn't know this is where you would be."
"True, and I didn't hear about the National Surfing Competition until yesterday either." Serix nodded as both of them head downstairs. Staring at Kaito's surfboard, "So getting ready for tomorrow's competition?.." Serix asked.
"Yeah…" Kaito said with a smile filled with confidence and determination, "Their are a lot of tough competitors unlike last time so I need to get ready…"
Hearing that, Serix snickered, "Keep that positive attitude and you'll blow away the competition tomorrow."said his words of encouragement made Kaito smile for the support.
"Hey, East Japan Champion, Reis."
As they walk downstairs they saw someone calling them and heading up to their direction was none other than Sakiya.
"Hey. Long time no see." Kaito greeted back then Serix added, "It's been a while."
"I'm definitely not going to lose in this competition." Sakiya made his declaration causing the two look puzzled,"Why, you ask? Because if I win I'll also win Lucia-chan's kiss!" both of them slightly surprise of what they just heard from his mouth, "The winner's prize will be Lucia-chan's lips. They're as good as mine!" with that said he left to his room while feeling excited for tomorrow.
As Sakiya left, the two of them process of what they just heard, "What's he talking about?" Kaito still confuse about it.
Serix scratches the back of his head, "He said if he wins the competition. He'll get a kiss from Lucia on the lips.." then thought, 'Why do I get a feeling that this is a huge misunderstanding…' as he glance down stairs and saw familiar faces.
"Lucia-chan isn't here in the first…" Kaito said but Serix taps his shoulder and said, "Look down.."
He look downstairs and saw Lucia and her friends, "Lucia?! Why are you here?!" surprise by her appearance then he recalled what Sakiya said earlier, "Does that mean the celebratory kiss was… Could it be that you came here all the way for that?..."
"Not at all! Not at all!" Lucia exlaims in embarrassment and while denying it as she heads upstairs towards Kaito, "I didn't agree to that promise at all! It's a misunderstanding. A misunderstanding!"
"I'll head down first…" Serix said as he walks down stairs as Lucia about to passed him, "Be sure to clear this up…" the pink mermaid heard him knowing what he means as she walks up to Kaito for a clear explanation.
"I came here so I could cheer you on!" The pink mermaid explains about what happened, "Don't take what Sakiya-kun said the wrong way. He decided that all on his own."
As Serix walks up towards the mermaids, the twins, and the penguin, "So let me guess…" he sighs, "Sakiya decide things without Lucia's permission, right.."
"Yeah…" Hanon answered with a wryly smile and Rina simply nodded while the twins and Hippo sighs.
"Sheesh…" Serix scratching the back of his head, "She should just reject Sakiya earlier without regard hurting his feelings." He simply said but recalling about Sakiya's personality which made him sighs, "But with his personality its best she should just avoid him…."
The teen nobody has the same evaluation as the twins about Sakiya for being onfident and over-conceited about himself and has a nasty habit of deciding things without permission.
He looks up seeing Lucia explaining to Kaito about it then he look back to the others, "But more importantly. What are you all doing here?"
Rina was the one to answer that as she replied, "We won tickets at a raffle and we came here so Lucia can cheer Kaito on at the competition."
"That's mostly for Lucia." Hanon said. Serix noticed that Rina seemed peeved about something but didn't say anything about it as Hanon asked, "What about you, Reis?"
Serix reply, "Oh me?... Maki-san gave me this pass to this hotel as a thank your for working overtime the whole month….." he puts his hands on the back on his head in a easygoing manner, "So here I am….relaxing and sightseeing…."
"Hey!" Xylon wines, "Your taking a vacation without us…."
"Having a vacation while leaving us out…." Daylix pouted, "That's unfair…"
Seeing the twins not please that he's taking a vacation without them, he stated"Unlike your two…" stretches his arms, "I work at a restaurant almost 24/7…." He cracked his neack, "So I need a break…" look the twins with wink of his eye, "Beside I know you two could handle guard duty…."
The twins about to protest but,"Lucia, watch out!" they heard as they look up and saw Kaito shielding Lucia.
"Kaito, are you all right?!" Lucia worried that Kaito got hurt instead of her.
"I'm fine. Something that small doesn't hurn one bit." Kaito assured her that he's feeling fine. Then a mother and child walks up to him and apologies but he assured, "I'm fine. Please don't worry about it."
"Well, see you, Lucia." Kaito said, "Sorry I have to leave now, but it's just about time for practice." With that said he left while saying, "I'll see you later."
"Kaito" Lucia somewhat worried about him.
Seeing Kaito left, Serix notice something is off about him especially the way he walks. When Lucia approach them, "Here take this" Serix handed her a vial, "In case he needs it…"
Lucia took the vial with green liquid in it. She was about to ask but Serix left while saying "Well, I guess I'll see you all later then…" with that said he left while waving his hand wanting to enjoy the rest of his vacation.
Southern Island-beach
Afternoon still sunny like the morning, Kaito riding on the waves like any surfer would do. With his mind focus on tomorrow's competition as he needed the practice inorder to win.
"Kaito! Give it your all at tomorrow's competition!"
On the beach, Lucia and the others cheering for him, especially the former feeling glad that Kaito still okay despite what happened earlier.
"Lucia, thank goodness Kaito-kun's ankle injury wasn't anything serious, huh?" Hanon said beside her friend.
"Yeah!" Lucia replied happily then Daylix added, "If he does..You know what to do…." Knowing what the young nobody said as the pink mermaid took out the vial that Serix gave her from her pocket and nodded "I know…"
When Serix left the twins did the explanation in his stead that the vial she's holding is a healing potion which has the ability to heal any physical ailments. If Kaito's injured then she could use it on him, as she thought about it then Hanon said, "But if Sakiya-kun wins, the fact you'll have to kiss Sakiya-kun won't change."
Hearing that, "Aah! That's right!" Lucia was shocked which she almost forgot that was the valid point of the competition, "I'll go find Sakiya-kun and clearly let him know I refuse that promise!" She want to clear things up with Sakiya for that misunderstanding.
But Rina interject, "But Lucia, if you get mixed up with him, it may not be a light matter anymore. He's snake." She stated then Hanon added, "Yeah, he'll probably force you to agree to some other weird promise, Lucia."
After witnessing Sakiya's personality its impossible to come to terms with him. "Eh? N-No way…" Lucia depressed and don't what to do this situation she's in.
"If it makes you fell better…"
"We'll do something about it…"
The twins suggested which made Lucia snapped out in depression after hearing their might be a chance to escape her predicament, "Really?! How!..." wanting to hear their suggestion.
"We thought about many ways of how to take care of him…" Xylon said then Daylix continues, "Since he's the type will not take no for an answer…" said with a thoughtful expression, "What if an unexpected accident happens to him…"
The three mermaids couldn't believe of what they just heard, "Accident?.." Hanon puzzled by these so does Lucia then Rina asked, "Like What?.." wanted to heard what their solution for Lucia's problem but they regretted it.
"Like he fell down the stairs…"
"Food poisoning…."
"Car accident…"
"Got himself into a fight"
"Or…."
The twins bombardment suggestion which where all extreme methods as the conversation getting dark, "Wait you don't have to go that far!…." Lucia exlaims that true that she wanted to fix her situation with Sakiya but their suggestion where to extreme and uncalled for.
Southern Island Hotel-Restaurant
Afternoon around 5pm, after exploring the whole island Serix went back to the hotel, 'All this sightseeing around the island makes me hungry…' he heads towards their restaurant, 'might as well get something to eat…' as he enters, 'I heard their cuisines are the best….' Looking for an empty seat then he spots a familiar person sitting at the bar counter, 'Wait is that….' Seeing that dark purple haired with ringlets was none other than Karen the purple mermaid princess.
Karen sitting beside the counter and holding a menu. Looking over the contents of the menu, "I like this one please…." She pointed her selected choice on the menu.
"Come in right up, miss…" The waiter oblige the order then heads towards the kitchen.
As Karen waiting for her meal, "This is on me…" unexpectedly hear a voice as she saw money place on the table, "I never thought you'd be here, Karen…." She looks at her right side and saw Serix sitting beside her unnoticed.
"Ah!" The purple mermaid yelp when she saw him sitting next to her, "What are you doing here?!" she asked while giving him a stink eye, "Are you stalking me?..." said in a accusing tone.
"I'm on vacation…" Serix simply shrug her accusation by answering her question, "I'm taking a break from working a restaurant almost 24/7…." He takes the menu and selects his choice of food.
"I thought your babysitting Rina and the others…" Karen said as Serix simply reply, "I have friends to covered it up…And you?..."
"Isn't it obvious…." Karen harumph while crossing her arms, "I'm hungry so I'm eating here…" she looks away, "After that I'm gone…"
Serix simply smile wryly despite their cooperation, she still shows unwillingness and hostility towards him which she doesn't show it but the latter already knows it which is understandable for his part knowing she's reluctantly need his help out of desperation and also couldn't called for help with the other mermaid princesses due to her personal reasons that involves Rina.
When they're orders arrived, Karen gets barbecue accompanied with rice and ice tea while Serix gets medium rare steak with ice tea. As both start eating their meal,"So, any leads on where Gaito's castle could be?" suddenly spoke.
Causing Karen to halt a bit, "No, apparently many mermaid search teams have been dispatched, but so far, I haven't heard anything." She resumes eating her food.
"I see…" Serix simply understood then he look at the way Karen holding her spoon and fork in a tight grip shaking, "I know your frustrating but try to be patient…" said with wisdom behind his sentence, "If you rush things then you might end up getting caught by them…."
"I know that already!…" Karen exlaims in frustration as she continue eating her meal.
"if that happens then I'll do everything in my power to get you back…." He said with determination in his eyes, "That I promise…."
Upon hearing that, Karen look at him seeing how determine he is especially the way he said, causing her to blush a bit and look away, "Yeah.. Sure…you better be…" said in a low tone then she drink her ice tea.
Hearing that reply, Serix smirk a bit then resumes eating his meal. Ones they finish eating their meals, "Thanks for the meal…" Karen stands up and about to walk away headed to the ocean.
"Leaving already…" Serix said then Karen simply reply while walking away, "I told you ones I'm finished I'm going…"
"Fine…" Serix simply shrugs, "If You want help meet me at the beach…..or the hotel…"
"!.."Karen nearly stumbles when hearing that last sentence as she blushes but regain her composure then walks away.
When Karen left and its already night, "Okay time for me to head back…" Serix decide to head back to his room as he's nears to the entrance, he bumped into someone sending him back a bit. He said, "Oh, I'm really sorry…Mitsuki-san?"
The person that Serix bumped into was none other than Taro in a tuxedo. He looked towards Serix and said, "Oh, Reis-san, this is a surprise, seeing you here. Though I did hear something about it a few days ago…"
"I guess I'm not the only one surprised here then." Serix smirked and thought 'to think I'm meeting familiar faces in one day', "So, what brings you here Mitsuki-san?" He asked.
"I'm here to perform for a few days, since the school has given a small vacation." Taro replied. Serix nodded and said, "Guess both of us taking a break from work…"
"Yeah…" The musician teacher agreed with knowing both of them need to relax ones in a while then he suggested, "Why don't you come with me. I'm about to do a performance here…"
Serix thought about it for a moment before he replied, "…I was planning to head back and call it a day but sure, why not."
Taro nodded and Serix followed him out into the outside patio.
As Lucia and the others headed back to the hotel, first they get something to eat. When they arrived , "Oh no! There are no open seats!" Hanon complains due there are no empty seats, "I told you we should've come to the restaurant sooner, but you just had to keep watching Kaito-kun the whole time!" blaming her friend for this.
Lucia wasn't pleased then she shot back, "No way! You kept asking, 'One more! One more!' and had all those scoops of tropical ice cream." accusing Hanon for her part causing the latter to sneer back.
"I think both of you are to blame.."
"Yeah…"
The twins simply blame them for this to happened then Rina simply nodded in agreement. "Hey there, my cute princesses!" then they heard someone calling their names in a flirty tone.
"Ah, it's Sakiya-kun!" Hanon quickly identify him sitting in front not far from them along with four different women.
"Princesses…" Xylon twitched, "Did he just include me in that category…." He was about to do something but his twin sister place her hand on his shoulder while saying, "Yeah…" Daylix assured, "But let it go bro. He's not worth it…." then form a mischievous grin, "Yet…."
Seeing the twins reaction towards him, Rina quickly reprimand them, "Easy their you two…" making sure they don't do something drastic towards Sakiya even though she want to help Lucia but the twins' methods were extreme which is very worrisome.
"Care to join me at my table?" Sakiya suddenly offer and invitation for Lucia and the others but latter flatly rejected, "Th-That's quite all right! We don't want to intrude."
Sakiya walks up to them while saying, "If you'd like, I'll give you that meal ahead of time, before my victory."
"There he goes skirt-chasing again, right away. Don't get mixed up with Sakiya-kun again." Hanon whispered with caution about him.
"Yeah. I know." Lucia simply said but Sakiya overheard that and said, "Aw, come on now. Saying 'skirt-chasing'…" said in denial then, "Lucia-chan, would it be all right for the two of use to be alone for a while?..." he looks at Lucia in the eye, "I have something serious to talk to you about."
With that Lucia and Sakiya with have private talk at the bar counter while the others sitting near one of the plants.
"I wonder what their talking about?…" Xylon curious about their private conversation as while waiting for their meals.
"Probably making another weird promise to her again…" Daylix also curious about their conversation, "She should just flatly reject him or avoid him…." she said her honest opinion which is the most viable option for Lucia is to reject him.
"Yeah you right…" Hanon also agreed Daylix' opinion that its best for her friend to reject and not get involved with him.
"I hope things go smoothly for Lucia…" Rina worried about it also when their meals arrived they began eating.
The same time Lucia went back to them when she finish her conversation with Sakiya, "Here comes Lucia-san…." Daylix said, "I hope its good news…"
When Lucia give them the summary of their conversation between her and Sakiya, "EH?! Sakiya-kun confessed to you?!" Hanon was surprise by the turn of events.
"More like bad news…" Xylon commented after taking another bite of his meal.
"Y-Yeah… But, even though he said that…" Lucia try to explain it thoroughly.
"So?! How'd you reply?!" Hanon asked a straight to the point question, "Don't tell me you actually said okay!"
Lucia quickly reply,"Th-There's now way I would! That should be obvious. Kaito's the only person for me!" stated the she completely rejected Sakiya's proposal.
Seeing her reaction, Hanon teases, "Yeah. I wouldn't think that you'd be one to two-time on someone." then Daylix added that remark, "Worried about Kaito flinging with some other girls…" smiled mischievously, "but what your doing is any that different…"
"I'm not two-timing!.." Lucia exlaims at their comments and remarks then a familiar melody that caught Hanon's attention, "Eh? This song is…"
'Tonight, the musician, Mitsuki Taro will be playing a three-set piano symoposium on our outdoor stage.' 'Please join us to listen to his wonderful music.'
When the announcement finished, after dinner, "Hurry! Hurry! Taro-chan's piano symposium is going to begin without us!" Hanon rushing everyone to hurry since Taro is performing and she doesn't want to miss it.
"We get it sheesh…" Xylon sighs, "To think Mitsuki-san is here…"
"If Mitsuki-san is here means Hanon-san will go towards him like a magnet…" Daylix commented follow with a sigh.
As they head out to their destination, Lucia stops when she spotted Kaito standing beside the glass window.
"Lucia, what's the matter?" Hanon notice this and asked.
"Nothing, I'm going to go talk to Kaito, so go on ahead before me." Lucia replied.
"Okay!" Her friends understood and left knowing she needs to talk to Kaito privately.
Sitting in one of the chairs at the very front, Serix waited while eating desert he ordered despite already finished dinner he still has room for desert as the seats started to get filled and heard Hanon say, "Oh, look there's a few seats where Reis is!"
Looking around, he saw Hanon, Rina, Hippo, and the twins sit at the table he was at and said,"Why am I not surprised to see you here Hanon?"
"…And what is that supposed to mean, Reis?" Hanon asked keenly. Serix replied, "Oh nothing, don't worry about it." He shrugged then asked, "So how's your day anything interesting happened?…"
"Yeah, a matter of fact…." Daylix explain the summary about situation between Lucia and Sakiya.
"Wow now that's interesting…" Serix simply laugh a bit at Lucia's current predicament then notice the said person of the topic of their conversation is missing, "So where's Lucia now?…"
"She's having a conversation with Kaito right now…" Hanon answered.
"I see…" The teen nobody understood that leaving them is the opportunity for Lucia to be with Kaito alone.
"What about you, Reis?" Xylon suddenly asked.
"Me..." Serix stretches his hands and then put it on the back of his head, "Nothing unusual happened…. Just enjoying my time here…." Said in a laid back tone which is true he did enjoy his time here but he didn't include his conversation with Karen earlier, "And now I have to listen Mitsuki-san's music…. Which is very relaxing in my opinion…"
"I know what you mean Reis, since Taro-chan's music is very relaxing." Hanon said, "Aah! I wonder how much longer until it starts! Taro-chan!"
Seeing Hanon excited about it, Serix simply smile wryly as he turned to his left and to his surprise, saw Karen walk by. Then he notice Rina staring at her and muttered, "If I remember correctly, she's…from the Mermaid Contest…and also from that time at the barbecue…" a number of thoughts flew through her mind, 'Is this just a coincidence…? Or is it…' She got up making Hanon ask, "Rina, where are you going?"
Rina didn't reply as she walked off, making Serix think, 'So she notice Karen passing by…'
"I wonder what's gotten into Rina-san."
"Who knows."
Hippo and Hanon were puzzled by their friend's suddenly going off on her own unexpectedly without saying a word.
"Maybe I should follow her…." Xylon was about to go after her but stops when Serix place his hand on his shoulder and said, "No let me…." The teen nobody stands up and walks towards the direction where Rina's going, 'I need to confirm something…' thinking it might the right opportunity to find about it considering the way Rina look at Karen as if of feeling of regret and nostalgia.
With Serix left that's when Taro walked onto the stage, "Hanon-san, it's beginning!" Hippo said and the twins clapped with the rest of the audience, "Ahh! It's Taro-chan! Taro-chaaaaan!" while Hanon was more than enthusiastic about it shouting Taro's name, "Taro-chan! Look over here!"
Making Hippo talking her down saying, "Hanon-san, this isn't an idol concert."
"Oh, you be quite." Hanon told Hippo to zip it while Taro started playing the piano. Hearing the melody from the piano, "Aah… no matter how many times I hear Taro-chan's music, it's always so moving…" the blue mermaid feeling really relax and at peace from the melody .
"It's really soothing…"
"Yeah…"
The twins also started to feel relax also making them free from all worries and anxiety.
On top of the edge of the cliff, Rina standing there and saw something that she couldn't believe it was Karen in her mermaid form swam away from the island, "A mermaid…. Could it be… Noel!?"
"Who's Noel?..."
Rina nearly stumbles when she hears a voice behind her, she turns around and, "Serix!..." saw him standing behind her.
The teen nobody caught a glimpse of Karen swimming in the ocean, "That mermaid…." He asked a direct question, "friend of yours?..." but behind it he wanted to see Rina's reaction.
The green mermaid look at the ocean and thought about it wondering if the mermaid she saw was her friend but as she recalled what happened back then, "No…." she shook her head, "I don't know her….."
Seeing the way she reacted, he could tell that her eyes were full of regret, "Well… let's head back…" He pretends to shrugs then turns around while saying, "Other's might start to worry if you wander on your own for to long unprotected…."
"You're right….." Rina concede as Serix lead the way back while the former follows. While walking back Serix thought about the name 'Noel' that Rina muttered which is a clue about the situation between her and Karen. He glance back and saw Rina still have that look her eyes filled with regret so he suddenly spoke, "You know, survivor's guilt isn't something you should be holding onto for very long Rina…"
Rina was surprise by that as both of them arrived back in time when Taro still middle part of his melody.
After the concert, all of them head back to their rooms. When they entered the entrance of the hotel, Serix stops for bit turns around, '…..' he felt he was being watched.
"Something a matter, Reis…" Xylon was first to notice followed by with his twin sister.
"Go on ahead…." The teen nobody walks away from the entrance while saying, "I'll see you tomorrow morning…"
"Where are you going?…." Daylix asked then Serix turns his head and reply, "Just taking a long walk around the beach…." He winks while saying, "So be sure to head back to your room…"
The way he winks means something was up so the twins immediately understood so they head back to their room together with the mermaids and Hippo.
Inside the room where the mermaids, the twins, and Hippo currently reside. Lucia, Hanon, Daylix sitting together at the round table and drinking tea, Rina staring at the ocean at the balcony deep in thought, Xylon taking a bath first, and Hippo is on the kitchen eating a light snack.
"Geez! To make a match with my kiss on the line all by themselves…" Lucia complaining about the conversation she overheard between Kaito and Sakiya that during the competition her kiss is the prize of it of all things then takes a dip of her tea to calm her nerves.
"But you know, for theme to make a prize out of your kiss, most girls would be happy or really mad, but it's kind of hard to say here…" Hanon stated the obviousness of the competition then takes another dip of her tea and said, "Though it is Sakiya-kun and Kaito-kun. It'll be good no matter who wins." Said with sparkly eyes, "I'm so jealous!" thinking two handsome men fighting over one girl makes any girl thrilled about it.
"You know…" Lucia sweat, dropped and try to say something but, "Look it the bright side, Lucia-san…", Daylix who was listening the conversation interjected, "If Kaito-san wins then you get to kiss him…"
"Me and Kaito…" Lucia suddenly blush about the thought of kissing Kaito.
"But seriously, if Sakiya-kun really does win this time, what're you going to do, Lucia?" Hanon said the possibility of Sakiya winning.
"Kaito will definitely win! I believe in him!" Lucia retorted that she has absolute confidence that Kaito will win.
"Yes, yes." Hanon sarcasticly agreed then Daylix interject again, "If that happens…" she smile mischievously, "I might do something if it happens…" that last sentence means if Sakiya wins then she'll do something about it.
"You don't have to do that, Daylix-chan!" Lucia exclaims despite this little girl is cute yet she possessed dangerous ideas which was very disturbing.
"Ah its nice to take a hot bath…" Xylon came out from the bathroom feeling refresh after taking a nice hot bath. He was about to sat on a nerby chair.
"Aah! B-B-B-Big trouble!" Hippo in a panic state running towards them while holding the pearl radar caught everyone's attention except Rina still deep in thought, "Please look at this! See!" the penguin shows them the pearl radar is now active.
"If the pearl radar is reacting to something, that means the fourth mermaid princess is near?!" Lucia stated while surprise the sudden news, "That is some big news!" Hanon also surprise.
'The fourth mermaid princess….' Even though Rina was staring at the ocean deep in thought but somehow listened to their conversation which caught her attention then recalled the mermaid she saw, 'She really must be… Noel.' Despite different color she could tell it might be her long lost friend.
""fourth mermaid princess?..."" The twins look at eachother thinking the fourth mermaid they mention might by the one name 'Karen' that Serix mention.
Southern Island-Beach
After traverse the whole island at night, "Nothing here…" Serix came out from the forest then turn his head from left to right searching and sensing something but, 'Am I imagining it….. or I'm being paranoid….'he couldn't sense the feeling of being watch before then yawns, 'I'll already patrol the whole island time to call it a night….'
As he heads back to the hotel by walking on shore while glancing on the moon then, "Huh?..." when he looks straight ahead and saw Karen staring at the ocean or maybe the moon.
He approaches her as the latter still staring at the sea or themoon deep in thought without knowing he is now standing right beside her. "You know it's dangerous for ladies like you standing all alone during the night…." Serix speaks in order for her to notice him.
Karen simply glance to her right then look back at the moon while saying, "Oh its you…." Said without the care in a world despite getting used to his sudden appearance or she doesn't really care at all.
Seeing how she still deep in thought almost similar to Rina's the look of regret and anxiety. He sighs a bit then look at the moon and said, "The moon looks beautiful tonight, right?.…" waiting for an answer for his comment but all he get was silence then a thought came which he smile for a bit, "Thinking about Noel?..." saying that name will draw her attention which it does.
"!..." Karen startled when she heard that name came out from his mouth, "How did you?!..." demanding to know where did he learn or know her sister's name.
Serix simply smile at the way she reacted when he said that name knowing it will draw her attention to him, "I heard Rina muttered the name Noel while she was staring at the ocean…." said in an nonchalant manner, "I know is none of my business but dragging it for too long will be troublesome along the way…" he looks at her with seriousness in his eyes, "So who is this 'Noel' to you and Rina?..."
The purple mermaid was shaken when he asked a straight to the point question. She wanted to say 'it's none of your business' but judging the way he looks at her means he needs an answer right now. "I…" still hesitant to give him an answer but.
"Hold that thought…."
"Wha?-" Before could say anything she was pushed aside and fell down by him then POW deliver a powerful punched which hit something.
"Huh?" Karen was confused of what just happened as she looks at where he punched and saw a white figure sent flying back by the force of the punch, "Looks like I didn't imagine it after all…." Serix said staring at the thing he punched is none other than a Dusk.
The purple mermaid instantly recognizes those white things, "Those things again… What are they?!..." feeling trepidation remembering how those white monsters appeared out of nowhere and tried to attacked her when her singing isn't effective against it.
As twelve more of Dusks appeared and surrounding them, "I'll tell you later.." Serix standing beside her cracking his knuckles, "But right now its best if don't move here…" with that said he gathered a bit of aura to his right hand then in a blink of an eye disappeared right in front of her.
Shocked of what just happened, He was standing in front of her then disappears next thing she knows the white monsters surrounding her were sliced in a instant then vanished as if something cut them in half but unbeknownst to her it's just Serix moving in blinding speed slashing the Dusks in half which incapable to be seen for the normal untrained eyes.
Ones that's over, "That's take care of them…" Serix stands right beside Karen who was still in shocked of what just transpired, 'I bet their still more lurking around….' He thought that their still others around then he extends his hand towards her, "You're alright?..."
Karen snapped back from being shocked and looked at the hand for a moment and grabs it, "Yeah…" she slowly stands up.
"Good…." Serix felt a bit relief but even though he disposed those Dusks their might be a possibility their might be more hiding in the dark corridor ready to strike next. He looks at the mermaid with a straight face and said, "It's best you should spend the night with me in my room…"
Hearing him said that, Karen was stunned still holding his hand thinking what he meant 'spend the night with me in my room. Thinking about means both of them spending together in bed and, '"What!.."She blushes furiously as she let go if his hand distance her self with him a few step back while shouting, "What are you saying that so sudden…. we haven't!…. "
Seeing her reaction got the wrong idea she had in mind, "That's not what I meant…" He sighs, "I mean it's dangerous to go home on your own while those guys lurking around without knowing when they strike next…." Clarifies which make easier for her to understand, "So its safe if you stay with me in my room so I can protect you…."
"Oh…." Karen finally understood what he meant then her hands on her hips and face pouting in anger,"Geez don't say something weird like that!..." still blushing about that miscommunication.
"Whatever…." Serix sighs again, "Come on let's go before more them show up….." he leads the way back to the hotel while Karen follows.
Southern Island-Hotel
When they entered inside the hotel, "Serix there you are!..." both of them were greeted by twin children running towards them.
"There something you should know…"
"It's about the fourth mermaid princess.."
Xylon and Daylix about to tell him about the news then they notice long-voilet haired teen lady standing behind him.
"Huh?.."
"Who's she?…"
Twins asked for the identity of the person behind Serix which the latter smirk, "Xylon, Daylix…." He step aside and gesture to introduce her to them, "This is Karen the fourth mermaid princess…."
""Heh!..."" They were surprise which is natural considering this is their first time meeting the fourth mermaid princess. "Wow…." Daylix walks up to her, "It's good to finally meet you, Karen-san… My name is Daylix…" the little girl introduce herself to the mermaid princess in front of her.
"The same goes for me…." And the little boy also do the same, "Call me Xylon…."
"Yeah…" Karen was taken back by two little kids introduce themselves to her in response she do the same, "It's nice to meet you too…." Then she notice the two kids' physical characteristics are almost identical, 'Twins?….' bewildered by their identical appearance.
"Huh?..." Daylix first to noticed her reaction, "Is something wrong?..…." she asked while Xylon also noticed her reaction is only towards them only.
Serix stare at the exchange of words between the twins and Karen but he noticed Karen went in silent like almost stuttering so he decide to interject, "Okay you two….What's it you want to say earlier?..." decide to change the subject inorder to avoid any awkwardness.
"Right!…." Xylon quickly response, "Hippo manage detect Karen-san with his pearl radar…" then Daylix added while staring at Karen, "I guess its proof that Karen-san is here….."
"I see…" The teen nobody simply nodded and understood that Hippo always carry that pearl radar device to detect the mermaid princesses' pearls which is natural it will detect Karen's. He looks back at Karen who was still silent and asked, "So you want to meet the other princesses?…." waiting for an answer but all he get was her simply not saying a word and looking away.
"That's a no, huh…." He simply understood why then ordered the twins in front of him, "You two I want you to distract Hippo and the others…."
"Eh! Why?..." Daylix shocked by that sudden command then she stare at the purple mermaid's expression, "Oh…Okay…." That expression enough which made her understood why so she gestures her twin brother, "Come on, Xylon let's head back before Hippo notices…"
"Right…." Xylon also understood then both of them left leaving Serix and Karen by themselves.
"Come on let's go…." Serix urges Karen to follow him to his room, "While they distract them…"
"Why would you?..." Karen was confused by the twins' sudden appearance earlier which startled her a bit but now Serix who tried to convinced her a few months back to join forces with the other mermaid princesses instead his trying to avoid her getting contact with them which confuses her despite he has the power to force her to meet them.
"Because you don't want to obviously…." Serix simply answered causing the mermaid a bit surprise by his reason means it was out of consideration of her feelings while leading the way while walking on the hallway, "But you know sooner or later you have to meet them after all you are a mermaid princess…." He suddenly stated.
Karen walking behind understood what he meant that she'll have to meet them sooner or later whether she like it or not.
Hippo walking on the hallway while holding the pearl radar, "The signal is getting close…." The pearl radar emiting a beeping sound getting louder, "Which means the fourth mermaid princess is nearby!…." the penguin starts running towards the location of the fourth princess, "I have to go there now…." while running SMACK something hit him on the back, "Ha!..." and suddenly fell down unconscious.
Standing behind the fallen penguin, "Sorry Hippo….." it was Xylon who knocked him out then apologizes for the act even though the penguin couldn't hear him due to being lying unconscious.
The twins return to their room with the unconscious Hippo.
"Xylon-kun, Daylix-chan…." Hanon first to greet them, "You're back…."
"Huh?." Lucia notices Xylon carrying Hippo who was sleeping, "What happened to Hippo?..."
"We saw him ran…."
"But he trip and landed on his head…."
The twin explained while pretended to sigh but in truth they made up the story considering they just simply knocked the penguin outcold.
"Jeez Hippo…." Lucia simply sighs so does Hanon but for the twins part there are glad that the princesses believe their made up story then again this is Hippo their talking about so they're convinced that it will happened to him.
"I'm beat…." Serix said as he entered his assign room of the hotel he's currently staying. Followed behind him is Karen, the latter was amazed how spacious the room which consist a king-size bed, couch, TV, refrigerator, and etc. On top of that theirs a balcony which has a clear view of the ocean.
The teen nobody grabs a pillow and extra sheets then place it on a couch, "You take the bed then I'll take the couch…" he said, "It's a good thing their extra sheets and pillows…. and also extra robes and pajamas in the cabinet…." stated then pointed at the cabinet near the bed, "If you want to change or take a bath do it in the bathroom…." pointed the bathroom which is beside the couch.
In response Karen simply grabs a towel and extra clothes from the cabinet then heads to the bathroom. Before entering, "Don't you dare peek!..." she warned him.
"Wouldn't dream of it…." Serix shrugged flippantly, "Unless if you want to…" he quipped causing her to retort by throwing him a pillow at him which the latter simply dodge at ease.
When she was about to enter, "Serix…." Karen called his name for the first time.
"Huh?.." Serix pause a bit from adjusting his couch when she called his name in fact it was the first time she called his name and turn around and saw her still standing in front of the bathroom door.
"Thank you for saving me…" Karen expressing her gratitude which so unlike her then went inside to take a bath.
Serix on the other hand didn't expect something like that to happen, he thought she reluctant about helping her but now she's warming up to him, "No problem…" He simply smiles, "Its what I was assign to do…" with that said he sat on the couch and watch TV.
Inside the bathroom, Luckily for Karen there is a bathtub she can use. Now she's in her mermaid form taking a nice warm bath which help her feel relax and forget about her worries. Staring at the ceiling thinking about her long lost twin sister who she have never met before but still determine to meet and save her no matter what then she look at the door thinking about her roomie, Serix.
Thinking about the first time they met which was only brief then they meet again at contest which surprises her. The day after that and so on and so forth, at first she couldn't trust him despite the claims that Aqua Regina asked him to.
Its not just that, he's mysterious and possessed powers that somewhat frightens her. But deep down she was glad that he saved her back then the first time he met despite her hostility and distrustful towards him. Thinking what he said about not going alone and new enemies appearing unexpectedly just like on the beach means situation is more dire than just Gaito and the water demons.
Closing her eyes thinking about her twin sister while processing all that happens around her lately. She doesn't want to admit it but she can't do this on her own. So she got out of the tub, reverted back to her human form then grabs a towel and a change of clothes thinking she knows what she has to do.
Outside standing on the balcony, Serix leaning forward on the rail staring at the sea and the moon while feeling cold breeze of the wind. So quiet and peaceful which helped him relaxed and forget all the trouble around him, then again this is his vacation so its natural that his taking a break from work related.
But protecting the mermaid princesses that's different matter. Who knows when the enemies appeared and cause trouble around them just to capture them but in the end the mermaid princesses manage to drove them off by their singing which still find it odd for his part. Despite he and the twins supporting on the sidelines to makesure nothing happens, he still worried about other enemies like Lexia and the Organization XIII.
He knows that the mermaid princesses can take care the water demons and Gaito but wonder if they might encounter new enemies that might be immune from their singing. True that nobodies are immune from their singing but they might encounter foes that will met their match.
If that happens then he'll do what he has to, dispose the threat. For the past months he observed his enemies of this world. Gaito and the water demons are consider threat to the mermaids but from his point of view their just a bunch of rag tag idiots led by a playboy prince who looks a lot like Kaito which post no threat to him aside causing trouble for the mermaids.
In fact he could just kill them but he didn't. Staring at the moon thinking about his past and his time with the Organization. He closed his eyes recalling all that he killed, some were innocent and some were not, normally for him when an enemy appears he wont hesitate and the same goes who try to get in his way whether its an enemy or and innocent bystander.
Remembering all different types of people he killed some were warriors, some were deserving, and others you could say are not even worth killing. The enemies in this world might belong to the latter category which is closed to being merciful towards them but depends on the level of threat they display hoping to avoid anymore bloodshed unless he has to.
Thinking the word merciful made him chuckled which is quite ironic considering he's a nobody and nobodies are remorseless beings. He's no different from the others nobodies and yet he shown some restraint of taking some drastic actions which is consider logical but decide to do in a more considerate approach the same goes for the twins which he refrain them from doing something extreme unless its required.
As he continues staring at the moon, "Um.. Serix…" he hard a familiar voice calling him so turns around and saw Karen wearing a white robe. "Yeah…." He noticed that Karen looked a bit fidgety while having a defiant expression on her face but he could tell she has something to say.
"Those two…your friends are twins,right?..."She nervously asked causing the teen nobody to raise a brow,"Yeah so?..." confused by bringing the twins as the topic of their conversation but something tells him that this is not about the twins when she says, "I have a twin sister…" she resolves herself, "Her name's Noel…"
Mildly surprise of what he just heard then decide to listen to the purple mermaid princess' story. According to Karen, she and her older twin sister Noel are twins, both born on either side of midnight between Thursday, February 13 and Friday, February 14 in 1986 which is Noel's and Karen's respected birthdays. However, they were born on opposite sides of the world, with Noel being born in the Arctic Ocean and her being born in the Antarctic Ocean. So in a sense they both live in different parts of the ocean and have never met.
Then a tragedy happened, the Panthalassa attacked led by Gaito followed by his water demons. The Arctic Kingdom was destroyed forcing Noel to escaped, leaving her kingdom behind. But unfortunately Noel was captured in the end because according to one of Karen's subjects that rumors has it that Rina abandoned her and escaped to the human world.
After listening the whole story, "So that's what happened…" Serix finally understood which explains a lot for Karen's part but what about Rina's? Knowing her personality she's not the type to abandon her friends. Every time she looks at the ocean with regrets she must have been thinking about Noel. I guess she suffered the case of survivor's guilt .
But there is some part of the story that bothers him, "By the way did you believe those rumors about Rina abandoned your sister?..."
"Yes!" Karen snapped as she shouted, "If she didn't….. maybe Onee-sama …." Feeling angry while trying to hold back from crying.
Serix simply send a sympathetic gaze and said, "So believe only those rumors…" his tone become stern, "Without concrete evidence…."
The mermaid stare at him as he continuous, "For the past months… I got to know about Rina…." Base from his observation the green mermaid princesss has a very serious and fearless personality. She's also intelligent and a bit of a tomboy and most of all she's loyal to her friends, "She's not the type to abandon her friends…. Their must be a reason behind it…."
"And What reason is that?…." Karen scoffed still not convinced.
"I think Rina has the answer for that…." Serix simply stated which is obvious that all the answers lies in the green mermaid princess.
"But she…."She still skeptical about Rina.
"Look I get it…." The teen nobody cut her off as he sighs while scratching the back of his head at her for being dubious, "After hearing those rumors its only natural for you to react this way…." then cross his arms as he explains, "But their just rumors without evidence…." He stated, "So don't jump to conclusion…You should try asking her personally…."
"…" After listening she remains silent thinking about of Noel and Rina. Was it all true about what she heard about what happened between her sister and Rina? part of her wants to blame Rina about what happened to Noel but in her heart want an answer from her. Deep in thought trying process about what Serix said about Rina.
Trying figure out of what is true or not then she felt gentle pat on her head, she looks up and see Serix patting her gently while giving her a warm smile while saying, "I know its hard on you but try not think about it too much…. After all Rina is a friend of your sister…. So just ask her?"
Saying those reassuring words, made her think it over again that in truth she wanted to ask her about what happened. Instead of criticizing Rina but all she wanted was answers about her sister.
Seeing the reaction which means she made up her mind, he smiles causing her to tinge blush, "Okay let's leave it at that its getting late….Let's get some sleep…."
"Yea-Kya!" Before Karen could say anything, Serix swept her off her feet and held her bridal style, surprising her and making her hold onto his neck. He carried her to bed, "Off you go…" and then drops her to her bed.
"Hey! What's the big idea? Don't treat me like a kid..." Karen furiously blushing from his actions, "I can go to bed by myself you know!…" pouted for being treated like a child.
"Sure you do…" Serix flippantly walks away then lies to his couch and covered himself with a blanket, "Nighty night…." With that he pretends to sleep soundly ingnoring the protesting mermaid. In truth he did that on purpose considering she was always down so decided to tease her a bit.
"Geez…." Karen sighs in surrender while feeling drowsy so decided to call it a night. Staring at the ceiling then stares at Serix who was sleeping soundly, she smiles, 'Thank you, Serix….' her eyes close and starts falling asleep.
Early in the morning were it's natural for everybody to wakeup early. Inside the room at the table twin siblings and a penguin eating breakfast thanks to room-service.
"The room-service is great…" Xylon happily munching the food he ordered, "We should take vacations here sometimes….."
"Yeah….." Daylix also greed while eating her own plate of food. Both of them have the same opinion despite them staying at Pearl Piari they couldn't help but love southern island and their delicacies.
"Ugh..." Hippo groan in pain still not eating his own food, "My head hurts…." Clutches his head due to having a massive headache.
"That's what you get for running reckessly on the hallway…." He scolded the penguin despite he was responsible for the Hippo's pain.
"I remember chasing after…." The penguin pondered as if trying to remember what happened, "Right the forth mermaid princess is nearby…." Even a small fraction he manage to remember what he was doing yesterday.
"Really….." Daylix pretending to not know about it, "I didn't see anyone wearing a pearl necklace aside the three mermaids here…." She gestures their roomates the mermaid princesses who are busy doing their own thing. Hanon trying to pickup clothes for today while Lucia is taking a bath and Rina is taking a walk early only leaving a note behind.
"Maybe you hit your head too hard when you trip…" She stated what happened yesterday but truth the penguin simply got knocked outcold by her twin brother.
"Did I?..." The hippo try to remember.
"Enough of that…" The twin brother interject, "Here eat this….." he stuffed some food to the penguin's mouth.
"!..." The penguin almost choked from that.
After finish eating her breakfast, "I''ll go see Serix…" she stands up and walks away towards the door, "Try not to hog it all you two… Lucia-san and the others havent eaten yet…" reminded the two considering all of them staying in one room which it has only one bathroom which the mermaids take turns while they decided to eat first.
"Hey! I'm not glutton like Hippo here!..." The twin brother annoyed while the penguin try to protest but his mouth is full from all the stuffing.
"Yeah yeah…." The twin sister simply shrugged it off and left.
Not far from their room about fifteen feet far also near the stairway is the room where Serix is currently resided but unbeknownst to them with the exception of the twins is that Karen is also currently staying with him.
Inside the room, a small glimpse of morning rays shone through the window glass and then to the person sleeping on the bed. The light was hit to the sleeper's closed eyes causing to slowly open. Karen woke up and notice the sunrise that its already morning then looks at the couch and notice Serix is no longer there.
"He's not here…" She rubbed her eyes as she yawns, "Maybe he went outside…" got out of bed while pondering where could he gone to then stretches her arms first, "I should take a bath first…." She headed to the bathroom when she 's about to grabbed the knob suddenly the door open on its own.
"Man I feel refresh…"
From the bathroom, Serix came out after finished taking a bath exposing his upper part of his body and the lower part covered with a towel.
"Eh?.."
"Huh?.."
Silence is in the air as both of them are stunned in an expected situation. For Serix' part, he woke up early and decided to go to the bathroom to take a dump and followed by taking a bath. He thought Karen will take longer to wake up but didn't occur for how long and now she's standing right in front of him.
As for Karen, she didn't expect he was in the bathroom and now standing in front of her halfnaked. Seeing he's half-naked body despite the towel covered his lower part. Her face starting blush furiously as she opens her mouth and about to scream, "Kya-!"
"!"In quick response Serix gag her mouth with his hand before she could scream. "Hey! Calm down…" he soothes her by saying, "You don't want to make a scene now would you?..."
She blinks her eyes as she calm down a bit knowing what he meant then notice how close he is and still half-naked, "You're too close!" she pushes him so hard.
"Wa!" He loss his balance and about to trip backwards then instinctively grabs Karen's wrist, "Kya!..." both of them trip.
Unexpectedly the front door open, "Hey! Serix you're awake?!" Daylix entered unannounced ,"Huh?..." then saw Karen riding on top of Serix who's lying on the floor halfnaked, "Sorry for my intrusion!" she quickly left before both of them explain it to her.
After they finished eating their breakfast, Xylon first noticed his twin sister is back already, "Your back?...Is Serix awake?…"
"He's kinda busy at the moment…." She sheepishly stated.
"Huh?..." her twin brother and the penguin look at eachother in confusion.
When both of them have calmed down from that embarrassing situation, "Fine its my fault…." Serix admit his fault for argument's sake considering he didn't predict how long the purple mermaid will wake up, "Sheesh…." He sighs as now his wearing civilian clothing and the most noticiable part is a slap mark on the left side of his face.
"You should just put a signboard that you were taking a bath!…" Karen berates him as she enters the bathroom while saying, "Anyway don't you dare peek!..." with that said she slam the door.
"Yeah, yeah…" He said in a carefree manner and went to prepare the food they ordered from room-service.
Southern Island- Hotel outside
Outside a person standing on the edge of the cliff all alone is Rina. Staring at the sea thinking about what she saw and the news about a forth mermaid princess. Giving a lot of thought it couldn't be coincidence, 'Noel' she looks down thinking about that dreadful day.
"Geez what's up with my sister…." Xylon taking walk outside after finish eating his breakfast. As he was about to head to the competition but he spotted Rina all alone, 'Rina-san?...' he remembered she went out early only leaving a note which was written that 'she's going for a walk'.
He was about to head towards her but she suddenly dive to the sea which surprises him, 'What!… Why would she….' Wondering why but his gut feeling tells him something wrong so he materializes his black coat then dive in to follow her.
Rina swims farther from the island, 'Noel… Where are you?...' Seeing that mermaid yesterday made her think it might be her long lost friend. Unbeknownst to her, Xylon is following her but making sure he keeps his distance so that she wouldn't notice.
Serix leaning on the wall while drinking juice, "As expected of their room-service…" complimenting the food they get as he continous drinking.
"…." Karen sitting at the table didn't say a word aside from eating her breakfast while ignoring Serix like he wasn't there.
Seeing she still upset of happened earlier, "So thinking about what happened earlier…" he quips.
"!..." The purple mermaid blushes almost choked, "That's not what I'm thinking!" she snarled at him causing the latter to snickered a bit.
"Just kidding…" The teen nobody simply smirk at her reaction, "So you thought about it…" then he's expression gotten serious, "Of what I said last night…"
"…." She became silent knowing what he ment so he closed her eyes knowing what she she should do.
He raise a brow, "So you made up your mind…."
Southern Island- Beach
Outside on the beach many people wearing their swimsuits enjoying themselves which is common considering their in southern island which is a vacation spot for them. But there are some simply wearing civilian attire.
"Wow… so many people came." Hanon walking alongside with Lucia, Daylix, and Hippo was amazed by the number of people appeared on the beach.
"Most of them were the people we saw practicing yesterday…" Daylix recognizes the faces she saw yesterday despite not knowing their names.
"Yeah.." Hanon also recognizes the faces she saw yesterday then notice Lucia feeling feeling under the weather, "What's the matter, Lucia? You have a really gloomy look on your face." All of them stopped walking when they notice one of their friend is low in spirit.
"Kaito… hurt his leg. It happened while he was protecting me…" Lucia said with the feeling of worry, "It's all my fault… that Kaito's…"
"Ah, you mean that time with the suitcase?" The blue mermaid recalls about that incident.
"The nurse told him not to participate, but he may still be coming to the tournament." Lucia stated about Kaito's current condition.
"How about you make up for it…" Both mermaids look at Daylix staring at a familiar person walking towards the competition while saying, "Serix did gave you that potion, right?..."
The pink mermaid look at the direction where the young nobody was looking at, "Kaito." She saw him in his surfer attire means he's ready to compete despite the doctor's warning, "Kaito!" feeling worried she walks up to him.
"Lucia." Kaito turns around when he heard Lucia calling his name and approaches him.
When she approaches him, she notice his right ankle no longer wraped in bandages, "You removed the bandage?" she looks at him feeling worried, "Kaito! I think it'd be better if you didn't participate in the competition!" protested about him entering due to his current state, "You need to rest!"
"I told you I'm fine. Don't make me repeat myself a million times." But Kaito countered with conviction no matter what she says he still going to enter.
"But Kaito…" Lucia try to convince him but, "Trust me." The latter reasures her with a smile along with a wink.
Despite his reassuring words, she still worried, "Ah! That's right…" then remember Daylix suggestion so she take something out from her pocket which is a potion that Serix given to her yesterday after the incident.
"What's that your holding?…" He notices the vial filled with strange green liquid that Lucia's holding, "Give me your ankle, Kaito…" instead an answer she requested him.
"Huh?" Confused by the sudden request but comply anyway thinking it might be some kind of ointment that she carried.
Seeing Lucia applying the potion on Kaito's injured ankle, "What a good mood between those two." Hanon couldn't help but comment the scene of the two.
"For Lucia's case it was all worth coming here…" Daylix added.
"I suppose that's true, but anyway, have you seen Rina-san?.." Hippo suddenly spoke especially the last of his sentense is a question.
"When I woke up, there was a note saying that she went out for a walk, but she still hasn't returned…" Hanon wondering where Rina could be despite leaving a note which was vague with no any further details of where she's heading.
"I wonder where could she be…" The young nobody wondered also then notice Rina is not the only one here, "And where is my brother gone to now?..." she remembered him saying he'll head out first so means he might be around here somewhere.
Half and hour later many people gather here on the beach which is the sign of The National Surfing Competion starting. The crowd are cheering especially the women considering the first competitor was none other than the western japanese champion, Sakiya Kousuke. He rides those waves like it was nothing showing perfect body balance almost like he was dancing on the waves.
The announcer applaud of his performance while the crowd cheers even more some of the ladies taking pictures of him. But Kaito on the otherhand was staring him intently with determination to defeat him.
'And we've begun! The National Surfing Competition!' 'There are some great people here this year!'
'The first competitor has already begun with some great moves, Sakiya Kousuke!' 'As expected from the Western Japanese Champion, with his super technique on top of the waves!' 'He's done it was a perfect performance!'
While there is a competition on the surface but in underwater the water demons along with Lexia are waiting for something to come to them.
As if a que an angelfish swims towards them and approaches Eriru, "What is it?" Eriru talks to the fish "Oh, is that so?" smiles happily of what she heard telepathically from the fish.
"Eriru, did it find one of the Mermaid Princesses?" Izuru asked despite she can also telepathically asked the fish.
"From the information from this guy, apparently it's the Green Pearl Mermaid Princess." Eriru answered.
'Despite their failings some of their abilities are quite useful…' Behind them Lexia commented despite their previous failures at least some of their abilities are quiet useful which is the only reason she hadn't dispose of them yet.
"Which means, the others she's always with might also be nearby." Maria concluded if one mermaid princesses is here means others are close by.
"This guy said their someone in a black coat following her…" Eriru informs them then, "I guess that's my que…" Lexia snaps her fingers then a couple of dusks appeared behind her then disappears, "I know where the others are…. So leave them to me…." with that said causing the water demons to nodded to trust her.
"Anyway, if we organize our powers correctly, this should go flawlessly!" Eriru said filled with confidence in her words, "So for now, I'll be counting on all of you!"
After hearing her words, the rest of the water demons are now determine that they will succeed but Lexia on the otherhand, 'I amazed one of them is using a brain…' she always thought that the water demons only have half a brains.
As the surfing competition still goes on, Sakiya still at the top while other competitors tried their best to beat his performance but to no avail some fell from their boards and others surf well but they couldn't keep up against a pro like Sakiya.
Then announcer introduces the final competitor is none other than the eastern japanese champion, Doumoto Kaito. As the announcer made a comment about Kaito of 'how he will response to Sakiya's perfect performance', while the former simply ignore that comment as he heads to the ocean without feeling pressure about the whole thing.
'Finally, it's who we've all expected, the Eastern Japanese Champion, Doumoto Kaito!' 'What will he do in resposne to Sakiya Kousuke's perfect performance?!'
Seeing Kaito getting ready, "I wonder if Kaito-kun's leg is really alright…." Hanon wondered about his injury.
"He did take that healing potion…. he'll be fine…" Daylix stated, "All we have to do is have faith right, Lucia-san?" she gesures beside the pink mermaid
In response, Lucia simply nodded then she closes her eyes and pray, 'Kaito, I know praying can't do much but… I really believe in you, Kaito.' she opens her eyes and watches Kaito feeling worried even though she given him the healing potion.
Standing on shore, Kaito was about to go but he looks back and saw Lucia feeling worried so he winks along with a thumbs up to reasure her, 'Kaito!' Lucia smiles at him as if he was telling her that he will win.
As soon Kaito taken off, he shows his own way of surfing not giving in to Sakiya's earlier performance. When the waves getting bigger, he took this chance as he glides on the waves like it was nothing. Then for the finishing touches he performes an aerial maneuver flying over the wave and lands perfectly.
The crowd cheered so loud after seeing that then the announcer decided the winner of the competition is none other than Kaito.
Kaito waving at the crowd and given them a chance to take a picture of him then Sakiya walks up to him, "I've lost to you again. It's frustrating, but I grant you Lucia-chan's congratulary kiss." showing good sportsmanship he extends his hand for a handshake.
"Yeah." Kaito accepted his handshake with no hard feelings showing sportsmanship of the competition.
Seeing Kaito won the competition, "I'm… so happy!" Lucia cried in tears of joy.
"Praying, being happy, and now crying…" Hanon sigh a bit, "Though, I can sort of understand how you feel." She smiles while understood what her friend is going through.
"She's overwhelm with happiness.." Daylix also understood because she could tell from Lucia's expression.
"It's because… Kaito's so amazing… I'm so happy…" The pink mermaid still crying with happiness, "Because… because… because… It was my fault that he got hurt, and the nurse told him not to participate…" she admited that it was her fault that she might cause Kaito the competition, "… and yet he continued with the challenge against Sakiya-kun!...And he won it!"
"All because of you, Lucia-san…" Daylix stated the obvious, "If you haven't given him that potion. He might have lost but seeing how determine he is. He might have won without the potion."
"Yeah" Lucia nodded while still crying, "Kaito… I believed in you."
Underwater
Around the same time, Rina still swimming in the ocean despite knowing today was the surfing competition that one of her friends currently attended. But that's not important now cause her full attention is finding the forth mermaid princess which likely be her lost friend Noel.
As she swims further, '!' she suddenly surrounded by the Dark Lovers who appeared unexpectedly.
"Oh, dear. The other princesses aren't with you?" Maria feeling smug at Rina but the latter, "What's this, a nice greeting for me from all you at once?" retorted with sarcasm.
"You better not underestimate us!" Eriru first to attacked with those black wavy energy arrows at the mermaid.
Rina manage to evade that attack from behind, "Here I go, too!" Maria throws ice shard-like daggers as well but the green mermaid dodge it in a nick of time, "Attack her!" Izuru also join in by launching two water dragons but like she did with the other two attacks she dodge it by moving left and right.
But unbeknownst to Rina her back is wide open, Yuri taking this chance her eyes glow red then what comes next an invisible explosion exploded on the green mermaid's back. "Ah!…" Rina yelp in pain.
"Oh no!" Xylon who was keeping his distance to make sure Rina didn't notice him but now spotted her being gang up by four water demons. "I have to help her!" he was about to rush in to help, "Wa!" but he felt something grabs his ankle then drags him to a dark portal then vanishes.
After Kaito winning the competition, "You must be glad, Lucia." Hanon smile at her friend beside her, "Now you can be faithful to Kaito and give him that triumphant kiss." She winks, "Congrats!"
Lucia blushes as she almost forgot about, "Yeah…" Daylix urges her with a teasing smile, "Come on don't be shy its time to give the winner a kiss…"
The pink mermaid still blushes the thought about kissing Kaito but suddenly their pearl necklaces started glowing, "Does this mean… Rina's in a bind?!" Lucia realizes one of her friends is in trouble.
"!..." Then Daylix gets a telephatic message, "Looks like my brother is also in a thight spot too…"
Realizing both of them are in danger, "Lucia! Daylix-chan!.." Hanon said to the two, "Yeah!" both of them nodded then immediately left.
When they left, "Huh? Where's Lucia?" Kaito looking for Lucia, "Wasn't she supposed to be giving me that congratulatory kiss?" pondering where could she be now that he won the competition.
The three of them along with Hippo head to towards the forest so no one will notice them, "Okay this is the perfect spot…." Hippo stated while panting, "No one will see us…" seeing the trees covered them means its okay for them to transform and dive underwater.
"Let's hurry!..." Lucia feeling distressed of her friend's wellbeing, "I'm worried about Rina!"
"Right!..." Daylix materializes her coat and ready to go along with the mermaids but, "Wa!..." something unexpected caught them off guard. A Dusk jump out from the top of one of the trees and landed on to Daylix.
"Daylix-chan!..." Hanon along with Lucia and Hippo are in a state of panic.
"Get off of me!..." Daylix snarled trying to break free from the Dusk which is constricted her like a snake. She curse herself for not noticing the ambush from above. "!.." Her whole body glow a bit meaning she's gonna force her way out but to two Dusks appeared each sides then lunge towards her then the same time a dark corridor appeared behind them.
The two mermaids were about to help,"Don't!" Daylix shouted to stop them as she is drag to the portal, "Lucia-san, Hanon-san!" when the portal was about to close, "Go help Rina-san without me!..." with that said the portal close and vanishes.
They were all distraught of what just happened, but Hanon snapped out from that feeling, "Let's hurry Lucia!..." she gestures her to hurry.
"But what about Daylix-chan!?" Lucia still shocked about Daylix got kidnaped right in front of them but, "She can take care herself…" Hanon reasures her but even she was also worried about the young nobody's well being, "Right now we need to rescue Rina!" she stated their top priority is to rescue their fellow mermaid princess.
Lucia was about to say something but, "Hanon-san's right.." Hippo said, "Rina-san needs help and besides Daylix-chan can take care herself…" that last sentence all of them understood that Daylix is not just an ordinary little girl.
The pink mermaid princess pondered about it, "You right let's go!.." understood the whole situation that they have to rescue their friend Rina so they dive in to the water and head to Rina.
Southern Island- Hotel
Around the same time when Kaito was declared the winner, Serix and Karen got out from their room. The reason their late is because the latter was taking her time to think it over about confronting Rina. Now both of them walking side by side as they head towards the stairs.
Karen suddenly stops the same goes for Serix as he notice her expression looking down. "What starting to have cold feet or fishtail if you prefer…" He quips but all he hears was silent from her. She looks down thinking about the answer she will hear from Rina's mouth.
Is it good or bad, pondering of what kind of answers she will hear, "!.." then she felt a pat on her shoulder. The one patting her to dispel her worries is Serix standing beside her, "Look I know its uneasy but you have the right know…" he stated, "Rather letting that question in your mind unanswered..…"
"Serix…." The purple mermaid spoke softly his name, for some reason she felt at ease. Standing beside him made her feel safe. Now she's loosen up a bit, the teen nobody smiles, "Come on let's.." suddenly his instincs flare up,"!..." quickly moves his arm in a slashing motion when he turns around.
SLASH
Next thing happened, a head of a Dusk decapitated from it's body fell from the floor then vanishes. "Kya!" but didn't stop their as Karen shriek when three Dusks appeared and attack them. But SLASH SLASH SLASH Serix making quick work of them without using his twin blades. More are keep appearing out of nowhere, "Stand back!..." He's standing or shielding in front of the mermaid to make sure none of the Dusks get to her.
Back to the corner of the wall, despite Serix is protecting Karen, she was feeling helpless against these strange creatures which are immune from her singing, '!..' then another unexpected happening a purple light emitting from her pearl necklace, "My pearl necklace…" bewildered by this.
Serix caught a glimpse of the light, "That can't be good…" seeing that light means the other mermaid princesses are in danger, "Come on!" he grabs her by the wrist and ran towards the stairs. He looks back a bit, 'Still following us!...' a group of Dusks still following them and more keeps appearing to join the chase.
Both of them ran upstairs, "Where are we going?!..." Karen asked while trying to keep up the phase. "Up the roof!" said as he shouted normally he can take care of the mob of Dusk but right now their in a hotel with civilians in it which he doesn't want to attract unwanted attention and dragging innocent lives. So he thought using the dark corridor to escape with Karen but decide against it due to the Dusks were using it and who knows how many of them waiting.
Southern Island Hotel Rooftop
Fighting while protecting Karen in that place will make things more difficult for him. So he thought another option as soon as they arrived at the roof, both of them standing on the middle. The purple mermaid took a steps back to make sure she doesn't get in a way.
When the Dusks arrived, Serix smiles and materializes one of his twin black swords and does his thing. Hack and slash at those low ranking nobodies, which was his plan all along is taking the fight outside which is the roof so no one will interfere.
SLASH SLASH SLASH SLASH SLASH So far the plans succeed he disposed a couple Dusks but more keeps coming. Then he notice something off of their movements, 'Strange their targeting me… ' seeing the Dusks were solely focus on him and they didn't even try to slip pass to go after Karen. 'Why me but not her…'thought about it as he looks back and see Karen holding her pearl necklace still glowing, 'Wait could it be!…' widen his eyes as he realizes their situation.
He jumps back and points his hand as he fires his black flames from his hand like a flamethrower. Incinerating the Dusks in front of him. Then he blitz towards Karen then scoops her up in a princess carry, "Hold tight and don't scream."
"What are you- kya!..." Before she could finish her sentence, Serix jump off from the roof with Karen on his arms.
"Ahhhhh!" Karen screams so loud while hugging Serix around his neck tightly for dear life as both are falling fast due to they both jump off from the tallest building. While the mermaid princess screaming but the teen nobody remain calm ignoring the screaming mermaid he carries as he lands safely to the closes building near the hotel.
Southern Island - Forest
Luckily Serix casted magic to make themselves invisible so no one could see them falling. Seeing the forest is close by so he leaps to that direction. Upon landing near the forest he quickly hide behind the trees. He takes a peek and saw the Dusks weren't following them anymore then glances Karen who is still clinging to him tightly with her eyes shut with a but of tears.
"You can let go now…" He simply said causing the mermaid to open her eyes a bit and notice her surroundings their now in the forest. She looks at him who simply smiles at her but his face is close to her's then realizes she still hugging him while the latter is still carrying her.
Blushing furiously, "Let go!..." Karen pushes him to let go causing both of them to trip on the grass. "You're welcome…" Serix said with sarcasm as he get's up while dustying himself.
"You could've just warn me when you about to jump…" She slowly got up while complaining.
Serix ignoring her complains, taking a peek and saw none of the Dusks are following them, "Are they following us?…" Karen asked while feeling worried about it.
"Their not after you…"
"Huh?.."
"Their after me…" He stated, "No more like to distract me and I know why…." Realizes their situation there in thanks to the light emitting from Karen's pearl necklace which means the Dusks were sent to distract him and the same goes for the twins. This means they use this as an advantage to capture the mermaid princesses while they were not guarded by him and the twins.
Karen also realizes what he meant, "We need to find Rina and the others fast…" Serix said, "Alright let's hurry." She didn't object knowing the situation is serious.
"Good." He agreed, "Better hold on…. My way is faster.." with that said the purple mermaid simply nodded knowing there is not time for that as he carries her again and run to the nearest shore.
Dark Corridor
Inside this neverending color of gray and dark, a portal appeared and what came out a bunch of Dusks piled together clinging to something.
"I said get off!"Suddenly a burst of light exploded within the group of Dusks clinging to. That bright explosion causing the Dusks to evaporate all that's left is epicenter of the explosion was none other than Daylix. By shrouded herself with light energy and increase its power to cause an explosion around her to gid rid of the Dusks that clinging her.
Then she notices her surrounding is that she's in the dark corridor. She surmise that the Dusks dragged her here but doesn't have to think about it right now as she was about to go back to the mermaids, "!..." but another group of Dusks appeared preventing her from going.
"I don't have time to play with you!" In response, she materializes her white naginata and ready to fight her way through. The Dusks rush towards her SLASH SLASH SLASH SLASH but they didn't expect a surprise attacked from behind and then vanishes.
"Nice for you to drop in, Sis…" Xylon holding his trademark scythe, greeting his twin sister as he walks up to her. She smiles feeling glad her twin brother is okay now both of them standing back-to-back covering each other's back, "So you got dragged here too.." he asked.
"Yeah…" She said dryly, "This must be Lexia's doing.." after seeing those Dusks were proof that it was Lexia's doing considering she's the only nobody that the Organization dispatch in this world.
More and more Dusks keep on appearing followed with Creepers, "I know their small fries…." Xylon tighten his grip, "I know…" Daylix understood what her twin brother has to say, "We don't have to waste time!…" she shouted as she fired a white laser from her hands causing an explosion to the horde of low ranking nobodies, "I'm worried about Lucia and the others…" thinking if the mermaids are okay without them.
"I'm not worried…" Xylon swing his scythe firing a crescent wave-like attack towards the enemy, "Serix is with them…"he too was also worried about the princesses but knowing their friend, he will protect them no matter what.
"Yeah you're right…" His twin sister understood as both of them noticed Serix isn't here. Which means they didn't dragged him here yet which is a relief for their part.
Underwater
"What's the matter? Are your attacks over?" Rina goading them while still showing her fearlessness despite being surrounded by the Dark Lovers.
"Don't make us laugh." Eriru smugly said, "We're confident we'll catch you three Mermaid Princesses this time!"
"Yep, capturing the three of you one at a time is much efficient, no?" Maria added with a confident smirk the same goes for Izuru and Maria were smiling triumphantly.
Despite trying to act brave and showing no fear, Rina knows she's in a dire situation, 'They're different from how they normally are…' noticing the water demons are now functioning well as a team despite their different and competitive personalities, 'This is bad… if they attack me like this, in the combination they're in…' thinking a way to get out but suddenly two of her friends manage to get here on time, "Hanon! Lucia!" feeling glad her friends are here.
"Geez, you guys just always appear everywhere, huh."
"Yeah, you just had to appear when we were on vacation!"
Hanon and Lucia are annoyed by the water demons' meddlesome actions.
"That goes back to you!" Eriru shot back, "You just had to come when all unconcernedly while we were busy!" she spins switching her evil personality, "We'll show you just how different we are today from any other day!"

"Ice Breath!" Maria fires an ice base beam but it didn't penetrate the live stage barrier, "Take this." Then Yuri support her by increasing the freezing properties causing freeze the barrier's outer layer only.
"This is the end for you!" Eriri launches the whirlpool attack, "Now!" then Izuru followed with two water dragons.
And the result the barrier is broken from that conjoint attacks.

Hanon, Rina, and Lucia were in a state of shock of how the water demons manage to destroy their Live Stage barrier.
"If you can't sing, it makes it all the more easy." Yuri pointed out knowing what comes next then Izuru added, "Our combination is far from over!"
"Shout it off!" Izuru ready for the next stage of their plan, "Dark Lovers, Brilliant Combination!" Maria shouted as a signal for them to attack together. The Dark Lovers fire an energy like attack trapping the mermaid princesses preventing them from escaping but suffer intense pain instead.
As the princesses are screaming and suffering, "All the pain we've suffered, we'll give it back to you!" Izuru releasing her resentment towards them, the same goes for her fellow water demons have the same feelings. The Feeling of defeat, humiliation, etc. suffered at the hands of the mermaid princesses for the past few months and now they want to make them suffer before handing them over to their beloved master, Gaito.
From the sidelines, Lexia keeping her distance as she watches things unfold before her eyes, 'Looks like their strategy work…' behind the mask she wore shows a slightly amaze expression, 'They can really do it when they put their minds together…' she always thought the Dark Lovers only have half brains and couldn't do anything right, 'I'll give them points for that and that alone only….' She admit that she underestimate along with complementing them, 'But…' unbeknownst for them she notice someone is approaching them silently.

The water demons stopped when they heard an unknown voice. So they turn around and saw a purple mermaid suddenly appeared in her idol form.
"Oh no! They had another companion?!" Izuru was shocked so does the others that another mermaid princess appeared.
Seeing the fourth mermaid princess for the first time, "That's not Noel…." Rina muttered in disappointment that it wasn't her friend that she was looking for.
'They should've take the green mermaid princess first when they have the chance….' Lexia sighs in disappointment despite their so called brilliant plan they thought of they should have taken them one by one.

The three mermaid princesses are in a state of aw by the sudden appearance of a fourth mermaid princess who is now singing to save them from the water demons.
As the water demons are now suffering from the singing while Lexia on the other hand only stood by and watched, 'Despite their brilliant plan their still idiots…' she shook her head in disappointment or to be expected that they will fail like they always do.
'I guess they want to be showered with praise and affection by Gaito.' She knew how loyal the water demons to their Master so it make sense that they wanted to capture the mermaids all at ones so they can receive their just reward from Gaito. Then she shift her attention to the newly arrived mermaid princess, 'At least its worth coming here now that the fourth mermaid princess has shown herself…' then she notice Serix near beside the purple mermaid who was staring at her intently.

Lexia was mildly surprise or to be expected that Serix will escape from that considering he has sharp reflexes, 'Oh well its time to take my leave…' she shrugged despite wanting to fight her former comrade knowing she has the edge, 'If I recall Gaito's new batch of water demons has arrived recently…' she has things to do like meeting Gaito's new water demons, 'I'm looking forward meeting them…' with that she dissapears in black mist.

The water demons are frustrated that things don't go their way and dissapear taking the sting of defeat with them.
