Summary: Eijun may be lost, but that doesn't stop him from making a new friend.

Lost and Found

"Grandpa! Where are you?!"

There was a lost little boy in the middle of the park. He was crying for his grandpa, hoping he would magically appear in front of him. After calling for what felt like an eternity, the frightened little boy started wailing.

"Sob...sob...grandpa...sob...where are you? I want to go home."

"Hey! Why are you crying? And on the swings, too?" a voice popped up.

The little boy paused and looked for the person with the voice. In front of him was a little girl his age who was looking at him curiously.

"Eh?" the little boy replied. "My grandpa was talking with some lady. And then, I saw this cool beetle, so I chased the beetle. But now I can't find my grandpa! Waaahhh!" And, so, he started crying again.

"Ahhh!" the little girl said frantically. "Please don't cry! You'll find your grandpa! I know it!"

"Really?" the boy sniffled, feeling a little more relief now. "Do you really think so?"

"Of course!" the girl said with confidence. "I'll stay here with you until he comes for you. I'm Wakana."

"I'm Eijun."

With that, the two kids continued talking until an old man's voice shouted in relief.

"Eijun!"

Eijun turned his head and saw his grandpa running towards him. He jumped up so fast as if something had pulled his leg, and he started running towards the person he was waiting for. "Grandpa!"

When the two were about three steps away each other, one hand moved back in slow motion, and suddenly, SLAP!

Birds flew out of the tree, and Wakana jumped up in shock. The old man had slapped Eijun out of nowhere. "Eijun! You're such an idiot!" He then grabbed Eijun and hugged him tight. "You idiot," he whispered repeatedly, "Don't scare me like that again."

Eijun bawled and apologized, knowing that he had worried his grandpa so much.

Once they both calmed down, they looked at Wakana. "Ah, sorry about that. I was just so worried about my idiot grandson. I hope he didn't trouble you, young lady."

"Uh-uh," Wakana replied. "It was no trouble at all. We've both made new friends. Right, Eijun?"

"Yeah!"

After talking a little bit more, they all waved goodbye and went on their way home.
