Allen and Lenalee looked around for ANYTHING. Behind paintings, under stares. Nothing out of the ordinary, luckily, they found nothing. But it was almost disappointing.
It wasn't too long before Lavi was back from town. "Hey guys!" he said holding up a few big fish squirming in his hand.
"What's that?" Allen asks him, dumbfounded.
"It's dinner baby! That kid don't look like he's gotten a decent meal in years!" eh says smiling brightly.
"I don't think he's gonna want to eat. Not with us around." Lenalee says looking at the 'meal' in question.
"Well, the kid's got to eat. But if he won't, the rest of them will." His smile falters a moment before he hands Allen the fish and begins his trek to find the blond.
Allen looks at the fish as if they'd attack. He hates fish, he was very picky. "Lenalee, I think ill take you out for dinner tonight."
She laughs a bit. "Yeah, I think we'll probably end up taking Kanda too, though."
"No. that guy can starve for all I care." I say pouting.
"Who can starve, Moyashi?" Kanda says carrying something in his hand. "Found this." He throws it at me and disappears somewhere in this labyrinth.
I pick up the object and my eyes widen. "Lenalee, you may want to see this."
Meanwhile with Lavi.
"Edward!" he yells through the halls, looking for the small man.
"Hey! Are you looking for big brother?" a little girls asks, walking up to Lavi.
"Yes, I am. Can ya' tell me where he is, sweetie?" the girl gives a quick nod and points towards the library.
He hadn't thought to look there. He opens the door, and there sits the very man he'd been looking for.
He is curled up on a red sofa reading quietly with a serene look on his face. "Hey." He tries to say it softly but he still disturbs the little man.
"What do you want?" he asks, settling back into his spot.
"I just went to town and was wondering' if you maybe had a hankerin' for some fishies." He asks.'
The man looks at him incredulously. He laughs slightly and gestures for him to sit in the next seat.
Lavi sits and start conversation. "So, whatya readin'?"
"Seven Deadly Sins, it's a book of merely 7 chapters, each about the sins."
"I'm lost. Seven deadly sins?"
"Lust, Pride, Envy, Gluttony, Greed, Wrath, and sloth." He says looking at Lavi like one of his children.
"oh, they don't really talk about humanity much at the order.."
"why?"
"We ain't got enough to preach it. People think we kill regular people. Allen having' that nasty curse of his helps us with fighting, but not much with charisma."
"Allen has a curse?"
"Yeah, like I said, real nasty." He says leaning into the comfy couch.
"What does it do?"
"He can see the tormented souls we're sent out to kill, but he considers it rescuing them. We haven't an idea why, but we have faith that he's right."
"Just faith? You don't care about actually knowing?"
"The whole point of faith is believing in something without questioning it, no matter inconvenient or unconventional it may be. We exorcist live by it."
"You guys just live blindly like that?"
"Yeah, we have no choice. If not faith, we have nothing." Lavi's look is more solemn now.
"Well, that's not too bad. Well, now that the mood has ruined the book, feel like trying your hand in making grilled fish." Edward says standing up and walking towards the kitchen.
The kitchen was kinda big, but normal, nothing notable.
"I actually haven't made a single bite of my own food. Ever." He starts chuckling at Lavi's stupidity.
"You exorcists sure are pathetic. Can't even make your own food. All you guys can do is intrude on people's lives. And fight." He says.
"That's true enough. We drop like flies. And we eat until we can't no more." Lavi says putting his hands behind his head.
"I don't understand why you guys throw away your live for a little power." He mutters.
"Not like we got a choice or nothin'. We were forced into it just as much as you were forced to live with a so called curse. If I had a choice at all, I'd like to go back to what I had. As would Allen I'm sure, to go back with Mana if he could. And Lenalee and her brother would like to find their family in china. But it is what it is, nothing to be done about it."
Edward looked and Lavi for a bit. "You guys aren't just power crazed maniacs?"
Lavi made a mock hurt face. "Ouch. No, not most of us. Not any of us in the house as of right now, but the same couldn't be said about all exorcists. Rogue exorcists have to be hunted down because they sided with the earl, or they killed civilians. But they couldn't kill them with their own hands, no, they'd normally make akuma kill them. Evil bastards like that have no place in the order." Lavi says.
"I agree. It seems like you guys are a pretty good cause all in all."
"And I wish I could agree with you, if the order just operated on its own, id agree, but central is worse that any rogue exorcist you could ever come by. The leader of the place, we call him moustache face or Hitler. He's evil. Evil enough that he's even trying to get Allen killed, by his own comrades no less." Lavi's eyes took on a hurt expression.
"They're trying to get Allen killed? But why? Isn't he a working exorcist, trying to help the people?"
"Which is why he hasn't been killed by his comrades. We all have his back. Those who don't think he's a monster, incapable of helping anyone but the Noah. You see, he has some Noah in his blood. But, everyone thinks that because of that he'll kill us. And it breaks my heart because the other night he was sitting in my room, Me and Lenalee were told to sit, and we did. He said that if he ever turned Noah or tried to hurt anyone, to kill him on the spot. No mercy. Lenalee burst into tears, and I looked at him straight in the eye saying id do it. But I don't think I could actually kill my best friend like that." Lavi's eye watered slightly.
Edward patted him on the back. "Allen won't lose control like that. He seems like a strong kid, no one's gonna be killing him for a long while."
Welp. That's all. ITS BEEN OVER A YEAR OH MY HEAVENS. I just wanted to update. This probably won't be updated often, but hopefully more often than it is now. Well, review, give me ideas, I've lost motivation, but I won't let it go. TBC
